    Hello folks,

I have a 2008 PreRunner 4.0, it's got 263k miles and I took it into a specialty shop to get some TLC. Had extensive frame repairs done, POR15, some mechanical parts replaced, and changed all the fluid/filters. Quite frankly, probably spent more money than I should. Well after picking up the truck and taking it on the highway I noticed I couldn't shift past 4th gear, the truck was running 4k-6k RPM's around 40-65mph. I took it back to the shop, it was throwing a solenoid code, they did some stuff after jumping the OBD II port (which they didn't do the first time and had to look it up here on the forum), and it was shifting through all the gears again and the code went away. However, it feels like it's in neutral when in D or R while not moving, and I have to give it extra gas for the gear to catch and it to go forward or backwards, the shifts feel weird, and it feels like the truck is putting down less power than before most of the time. Took it to a local shop to get some sensors replaced, mentioned the transmission issues I was having, and they said I had a qt of fluid extra. Took it out again and threw a P2757 error code, and it feels even worse now.

I'm not sure what to do, hoping to take it to the stealership to see if they can hook up a Techstream to it and perhaps have some expertise in this area and can give me a second opinion. The local shop I took it to is recommending a remanufactured transmission. The thing is, before I had the transmission fluid drained and filled + the filter it was shifting perfectly fine, I feel like something had to have happened to cause this. I was using Amsoil severe gear ATF fluid, same thing I used before in a flush at 200k, this time just a drain and fill.

I love this truck, but now I feel like I'm investing more than it's worth. Ideally, I can get the transmission fixed without spending more than the truck's worth. Any idea what could be causing all this?
