Which spark plug and coil did you replaced? The one closest to firewall on driver's side?

I’d check for Power and Ground to the coil.
Disconnect the plug for the Ignition Coil.
Check the Black/Red wire for 12v/power with key ON.
Then check the White/Black for ground.

The truck does not need to be running to check these.

Here’s a brief description of how the system works.
And why you have the code.

You’ll notice on the coil there are 4 wires.
    Power - Ground - Control - Conformation
When the coil fires , a signal is sent to the ECU via the Confirmation Wire.
A Code is set when that signal is not received to the ECU.

Now, you’re probably wanting to know how to check the Control and Conformation, huh?
Well, it’s not easy with out the right equipment. And about the only thing you can check with out the right equipment (Oscilloscope) is the wiring integrity.

For now, just check the Power and Ground.
Let’s hope it’s one of those

He somehow ended up with 2 threads, I posted wiring diagrams and circuit checks in his other one :notsure:
But yes a scope would be helpful to have here.

OP gave us a bit more info here.
He said he replaced the coil and plug 2x now.
Either it’s bad aftermarket parts, or wiring is my guess:confused:

You can check for power with a test light or meter but you'll need a scope to see if the pcm is (grounding) turning the coil on and off

Thanks for all the info. I tarted 2 threads bc I am new on here and didn’t think anyone was reading it. But I was wrong. Thanks everyone for the replies. I have a meter but no scope. I will check it when I get home. I have been without a riddle for a week now. I hope it’s fixed soon
