My check engine light has been on for sometime. Occasionally, it'll flash, other times it'll turn off, but for the most part it's usually just on. I noticed when it's on or flashing, my truck runs fine. When it's off......Bad stuff is usually happening with my engine.

Before I explain the bad stuff the engine does, I do need to mention that whenever I disconnect the battery terminal(s) and reconnect it, my engine acts up. After 1-2 miles of driving, I can usually get it back to normal. The longer I leave the battery disconnected the worse the symptoms. I did run a scan and got a P0110 code which is the air intake temp (ait) sensor.

Will the AIT cause the truck to:
    - idles normal at startup (no problems with starting)
    - while parked, engine will bog down with revving
    - while engaged in gear, engine will bog when pressing the gas pedal and will run and idle
    normal when let go

Any suggestions or possible causes? Or is it time to put this poor guy to rest? 125,000 miles.

Hey I know this is a super old thread (though your truck is probably still running fine, 125,000 miles is basically brand new for a 3.4)
I just cleared the same code that popped up after cleaning my throttlebody/iac/maf. The code went away after cleaning the MAF and replugging. Hope this helps!
