    Hello Fellow TWers,

Anyone use “Owner’s Pride” ceramic coating? The guy I’m going to use to coat my taco uses this. I’ve never heard of it. It’s a 5 year product.

Please let me know if you’ve heard of it and if it’s any good.

    thanks!!!

I have it on my truck. It works, keeps her nice and shiny and makes cleaning easy.

Nice! Any thoughts on how long the “5 year” product really lasts ?

I've had it for about a year and a half. So far it is holding up well. Keep in mind that you do need to clean the truck often to ensure it lasts.

Do you do any off-roading? If so, does the ceramic coating cause scratches to show up even more than without it?

    None
Imo, it comes down to the people applying the ceramic coating whether its going to last 5 years or not. Been hearing of some really shady jobs lately that this stuff is becoming so popular with paint protection.

talked to my detailer - he said it’s not really going to look “worse” but there’s not much you can really do until the next ceramic coat. He also said a ceramic cost does zero for physical scratch protection

That has been my experience as well. If you want scratch protection then get PPF.

I wasn't worried so much about scratch protection, but I've read that after getting the ceramic coating done, even small/fine scratches are more visible and white from the ceramic coating than if you didn't have the coating.

Makes sense, but the paint itself isn’t any more damaged by it, just will look shitty until you redo it or touch up with ceramic polish?
