I'm looking for a coilover kit for overlanding

The Fox 2.0 Performance Series Coilovers & Reservoir Shocks Set seem to meet my need

Is there other kit that meet similar need?

    Side note
I'm adding weight with a steel front bumper and skid plates

I am in the process of doing the same thing. Will have a considerable payload when build is finished (approx 850lbs) and would like the factory OR suspension to last about a year but after inspecting the stems on the factory bilsteins I am not sure they will hold up to what I am about to put them through. I have been on the suspension forum and getting down to a decent setup for overlanding needs is very difficult without spending roughly 8 hours doing nothing but reading that forum. I dont have that kind of time. I have been looking at the 6112/5160 combo 600lb springs with the dakar leaf pack and some durobumps. Depending on load you plan on carrying you may need to tweak it.

There are several that might meet what you need, in the price point, Bilstien 6110/5160, Fox 2.0 and Ironman, nitrogen or foam cell pros.

There are plenty of threads about the different kits. I’d say call Colton @memario1214 at HotShotOffroad and let him know your plans and see what he recommends.

Ironman has kits on sale from 999 to 2499. Price changes if you want nitrogen or foam cell then with or without UCAs. The kits include new leaf packs.

Make the phone call to @memario1214 mentioned in post 4.

Be prepared to give him your definition of 'overlanding', how the truck will be rigged and your budget target.

With that kinda load, especially if it’s constant - those off the shelf dakars will die. I’m speaking from experience.
Try call Alcan and spend 15 minutes on the phone with them and see if they can produce a product for you.
I have 650 lb over stock capacity springs from them, and it rides like butter with cargo weight

The set up I posted was with minimal searching. I will look into all 3 of those options.

Your 5160 choice is spot on tho! Highly recommend!

So after a ton of research and some trusty advice from a good friend with a Gen 2 Overland built Tacoma I opted for Bilstein 2" 6112 Strut and spring and rear B8 5160 plus Deaver stage 3 rear spring pack, bolt bushing set plus Timbren active rear offroad bump stops. Total cost: $3139.49. Its not what I had envisioned originally (OME BP51) but I think this will do and runs approximately 2k less than the original suspension I had planned.

One thing I cannot find a good answer on is with the front 2" lift are front upper control arms necessary?

Necessary, No. though if you’re running larger (33”+) tires they “may” help. Take a look at this video- https://youtu.be/huMztKaHsUE

I would say yes and to stay away from the spc’s. While their concept is awesome
They have been seeing a higher than usual failure rate on their x-axis bushings.

    Short answer: No.
Long Answer: There's adjustability/strength to be had in an aftermarket UCA. However, if you called me up to spec you out a Billy 6112 suspension and were aiming for 2" of front lift I wouldn't push UCAs on you.
