Using the TRD S/C Assembly, below are parts of the custom fit kit I'm building out. There's already a guy over in the tundra s/c thread on a maggy making 504whp with a similar setup. https://www.tundras.com/threads/general-supercharger-thread.85513/

I think you're going to do well. I was hoping you weren't under the impression the stock setup w/ stock pulley was going to get you to the big "5".:amen:

Add a set of headers to that list. I had a supercharged Tundra prior to my Taco and it picked up a good amount of power going from the stock manifolds and an aftermarket catback to headers, high flow cats and dual 3'' exhaust.

This is a bit old but I didn’t see an answer the last few pages after it was asked.

Does that have any impact? I know OVT didn’t. I’d imagine this shouldn’t either because wouldn’t the checksum also be affected by dealer updates?

The Calibration ID remains stock on our tunes. The EROM 3G S/C cals start with a “V” but these have been CARB approved with the Magnuson tune.

The Cal ID would be the most identifiable change for a smog shop/dealer to detect a change to the ECU.

The CVN is the give away. A stock tune or an approved tune will have a unique CVN for the data that composes that file. Any change to that calibration, even just a .1 degree change in ignition timing in a single cell for example, would generate a different check sum and subsequent CVN. There’s no getting around that.

At this time all CA SMOG stations we are aware of are (if at all) looking at the Cal ID only. They do not appear to have the library of CVN’s for every Cal ID for every ECU from every manufacture available for implementation so it seems.

It could be tomorrow, it could never happen. It’s not something we’re privy too. But we can certainly keep you posted if you stay in touch.

As with all of the tuning we offer, you can always flash back to stock anytime you need too.

The speedo is not controlled by the ECU in this application, so there is no way to adjust your speedometer through the ECU calibration. You'll need to use a Rough Country/Hypertech speedometer calibrator to make any corrections needed to your speedometer.

However, we do make specific changes within the tune for gear and tire size run.

I received the KDmaxx tune last year and had some throttle issues. It made my truck lurch forward a few times when I lifted off throttle. Similar to a stuck throttle cable/vac leak. Allan Hish, heard my feedback on the issue and was able to correct it with the OTT map.

First impression: smoother reactive feel to the throttle while on or off the throttle. No weird power dip/like it was in the wrong lower gear when you let off throttle. I felt as if it was similar to my Lexus GS.

    Allan Hish- +1(732)890-8225
He works within the North East Tri-state area. NY, NJ, and PA.

He will ask you a set of questions to understand how you drive, and will match it with the throttle sensitivity. So be honest with him and you'll be happy with the results.

So…I need to update my ECU to latest ECU ID (04B04). Other than going to the dealer is there a way to do this?

I have VF Tuner. I swear I used to some sort of techstream but it’s been a few years and a couple laptops and I can’t remember. :help:

Yes, you use Techstream. Go over to this thread to update your ECU so we can keep this one clean.

Just got this done in Rock Hill South Carolina on my 19' 6sp manual. Big difference at take off. I can't speak to anything but that as I've only driven 1/4 tank of gas. So far no noticeable mileage change. But at idle after coming to a stop from the 1 hour+ drive home it was so quiet and smooth I thought I had already cut the engine off. I know these can be loud at idle so I was really surprised by this. I'll post an update as reading these comments helped me make the decision to try it. I still have a slight hesitation about 1,700rpm that I had which might be exacerbated because the throttle is more sensitive. But I granny shift like crazy and have it at lower rpm than necessary or practical to be honest.

Allan also covers Delaware. There's a couple of us (if not more) that meet up near Wilmington for updates.
