This post saved me big $$$ and made my day when those digits lit up! THANK YOU!!!!

Any one know of a good source on how to get to the Climate Control LEDs and the LED for the real differential lock button. Button light is out and have one light behind the climate controls out. Those are the only complaints I have for my '06.

i had the same issue with mine, i took it apart using these guidelines and the upper right corner was burnt out. checked all the resistors and all were good. took it to the dealership and they wanted almost $1500 for a new one. buddy hooked me up with another from a floor model for less than $45!!! just thought i would share my story that not all dealerships are trying to rip us off for parts.

FYI: All of my resistors looked good too, but i soldered them anyway, and it fixed.

the screen was burnt?? mine is too. i think it supposed to be like that.. Just go ahead and solder both of the 510s and MAYBE it will work, if not you might have a bad motherboard.. but i bet thats not the case..

An easy way to test the 510's is after you take the console apart, plug the temp/compass module back in then press down on both 510's with the key on. If the readout works then they are the problem.
Don't hold them to long because they get hot quick.

Now if only there was a fix to keep my temp from reading 5-8 degrees warmer than it really is outside.

I think there is a misunderstanding, I haven't done the fix this thread is about.. I was just making an observation that I wish there was a fix for my issue. :)

Mine was off since the day I bought it.
