I'm at 75k, full steel, and still haven't touched the brakes. You can do your own diffs. It's certainly not that hard.

When I had my tundra, I've heard of similar stuff as such from dealers here. It's a big rip off. Most of that I only did myself when the truck actually needed it. I swear these dealers see some coming, so they shoot for the moon.

Oh stealership prices …I would definitely shop around . Use an independent shop . Lot of the stuff the dealer recommends is just a way for them to make money . I was recently at the dealer and they tried to sell me one of those mass air flow sensor cleaning . The funny thing is that they didn’t even check the item in question . If they actually did they would have seen that I already serviced it . Don’t trust dealership .

    Do this,
Call the dealer and have them help you locate all the “extra” “cleaning services” in your owners manual.
They aren’t there…. BG isn’t exactly your friend but they do have some good services when proven needed.

What the heck is a 400 driveline service!

These aren’t even Toyota services, it’s a BG thing.
The dealer is trying to make profit on selling “extra” stuff.
It’s not snake oil but it’s also not ethical or moral to drop it all on a vehicle unless proven beneficial.

Your power steering fluid and brake fluid being replaced seems adequate though.
ESP the brake fluid, it’s hydroscopic and doesn’t “move” in the system like you think.

Again reference that owners manual and go from there.

Must be like greasing the zerks that are no longer there, or retorquing the prop shaft bolts that never come loose.

I would love for an explanation as to what an "evap cleaning service" involves.

Makes sure that you still have 4 wheels/tires and driveshaft, complete inspection spared no expense!

This should not be surprising at all, it's what they do! This is the dealership servicing department's version of "would you like fries with that"

Interested in reading an update from the OP.

The dealership is way out of line - but they will do whatever they can do to make as much money as possible. I heard it once, not a quote, but something along the lines of Dealerships make more money from Service than sales. Keep that in mind.

"Wearing faster" - wtf does that even mean? How much faster? to what degree? Don't replace rotors until yours are thin or gouged. If that happens, Autozone rotors are just fine; along with OEM-quality pads. $150 in parts, tops. Brake fluid clear and healthy-looking? Leave it alone. Same with power steering. "Fuel induction" service? Jokeshow. Evap cleaning? C'mon now. I think service centers make shit up and call it 'for safety!' or the bs line of "...to ensure things stay okay down the road..." which could mean "in 15 years you might need AC repair. But every car might need that in 15 years. It's what happens." Throttle body cleaning? To what end? How? Why? Symptoms? "Just to make sure?" Crock of horseshit on their part. Why replace the mass air sensor? Wtf is that going to do for your truck? "Just to make sure..." is probably their reasoning.

You may want to consider getting fluids-flushed - and likely not with the dealership - and then just go enjoy your truck.

Once in a great while I would recommend a “service” at 35,000.
A few evap services because the interior of the truck starts to smell like ass when you turn the ac on.

Brakes do wear unevenly, especially when there is no lube, etc on components.
You could have another 10k, left. Just run it. They should have given you a pad thickness left
    with their check.

    It’s a rotate service.

    Air filter ….poss
    Cabin filter….poss

I always “forewarned” my Customers that next service you should have “this service” done.
So Oil change, rotate, and the service. They knew what to expect.
I did not to pile it on like this yahoo did.

It stopped being a service dept long ago.
    It’s all about the numbers.

This never would have happened in my bay..
    I am sorry ….

Just NO. That is total dealer crap.

All of the brakes is garbage.

I have never flushed power steering in any vehicle ever without issues (been driving for 25 years)

Wouldn't a mass airflow be under warranty? What is the rationale for even wanting to replace? Are you having a misfire or other issues? Otherwise NO.

You don't need fuel system service...make sure you use Top Tier fuels or at least not budget gas and your injectors and fuel system will be fine.

Throttle body shouldn't be that dirty at that milage so NO

    Evap cleaning service....NO

    HVAC disinfect...wtf...NO.

Driveline service...could probably use some grease but $200 seems steep.

You need an oil change and a new air filter at 35k...unless you didn't change any fluids at 30k.

    Yep. 100%.

OP, you have discovered why people hate dealerships and I’m one of those people. I’m not very mechanically inclined but I know enough to know when I’m being lied to, and i caught my dealership doing the same thing to me.

Find yourself a reputable mechanic shop that is not a dealership. I don’t want to offend anyone here who may work at a dealership service center, but I’ve never been to one that wasn’t staffed by a bunch of liars and thieves.

I take my truck to a local mechanic who I’ve trusted for years. He actually has a special deal for people who are being swindled by their dealership because it happens so often. He has one of his mechanics inspect your car but he doesn’t tell the mechanic what the dealership claims needs to be repaired. If the mechanic finds the same problem, they fix it for cheaper than the dealership.

He told me that most times, his mechanics can’t find the “problem” that needs to be fixed according to the dealership. They just charge a small fee for the mechanic’s time and send you on your way.

Find yourself a good, non-dealership, service center.

If the AC smells funky you can get some cleaner at the local auto parts store and run it on recirc. But at 35k mileage it shouldn’t have any funk.
