Has anyone tried this pillar gauge pod from Ortiz?
It’s pricey but there’s not many options out there for a Gen 3.

I've been on here a while and haven't heard of it. What are you looking to put in it? Boost gauge?

Ya, I’ve been seriously thinking about the Magnuson SC and would want to run boost and AFR gauges if I did.

The funny thing is I didn’t consider a pillar pod because I had my heart set on adding a grab handle but the “vendor” has made such a mess of it that I’ve taken that option off the table.

An Innovate PBS1 guage would give you AFR and boost in a single unit and might let you get away with not using an ugly pillar mount. Top of the steering column or inside an air vent are both cleaner options in my opinion and don't potentially block an airbag.

That vent gauge pod is pretty slick looking. Although I'd hate to lose any of my vents.

I don't know bud. Don't you think out of the three options the pillar would look the most factory? I once had a little Chevy HHR SS (piece of crap car) that had a factory gauge there reading turbo boost. And I wouldn't think the airbag would be an issue since it's a curtain. I can't imagine Ortiz would risk the liability if it interfered.

But I DO like the two function Innovate gauge. I would actually prefer a single gauge on the pillar but I don't see a single gauge pod available.

The vent option looks interesting but I'd hate to give up my vent.

Then there's the Flexpod. This mount looks appealing but I'm not sure if I would be happy with blocking the instrument panel no matter how slight. BUT with the Innovate gauge there would only be ONE instead of TWO in front of the cluster. Hmmmm........

    DECISIONS! DECISIONS! LOL

Ortiz has these pieces available for the 05-15s
Apparently he modifies factory panels; the price and fitment reflect (I’m guessing).

I’m pretty sold on this inner mirror cover pod, but would like to see a installed photo of the steering column single pod. Just sent them an email looking for a photo.

He had lots of Tundra options 9F3E46BB-028B-473F-84EA-5438789A8108.jpg FCF0F803-CDBC-4733-9773-67F156474730.jpg2D89CEB3-2212-4E2D-A233-2899596689DA.jpg

I’m reviving this thread back from the dead to let everyone know that Ortiz is a not a reliable seller. He sent me a pilar for the wrong car. I sent it back and never sent me a replacement. I reached out multiple times and he lied to me and told me he was waiting for a back ordered Pilar. Then when I called the Toyota and confirmed that those parts are not on back order he actually had the audacity to tell me that since it’s out of warranty he can only offer me partial credit. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH HIM!
