Wow, I didn't know that. I ordered the premium package but my options show as:

2018 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-road Double Cab V6 Automatic 5' bed. MODEL 7544
    COLOR : Quicksand 4V6
    Interior: Black /Gunmetal LC27
    OPTIONS
    FE: 50 state emissions
    OF: TRD Premium Off-road Package
    TP: Technology Package
    MF: Mudgaurds

Are you saying that the Interior Black/Gunmetal includes the orange trim?

I don't really have a problem with it, but I wasn't expecting it....

I built my exact truck online, and the only option was the orange dash so I thought I was screwed too... my dealer called me and when I went there it had the normal black dash and needless to say I was extremely happy.. so I’m not sure if it’s a glitch online or not. But my 2018 doublecab longbed cement off-road with both packages came with a black dash not the orange.

Wow, that is hideous. And it's not even complete, half the dash is still silver.

@Profen If she can remove the trim, I'm sure you can too. It's super easy and you have already had people on this thread offer to trade you. Just saying. I'd rather help a fellow TW member out by shipping them my trim rather than arguing with the dealer.

I took off all my trim and had them color matched to the exterior. Orange, graphite, and silver aren't your only options. Be creative.

The Orange dash piece definitely is not as bright as it looks in that rendered photo. I was skeptical at first until I sat in it and its quite a bit darker.

As far as what color comes standard with what model and interior color, I am not sure There is 8 different configurations/combimations--- this I do know -There is 4 different colors in each of 2 radio/head unit openings -- here they are for all to see from a Toyota dealer parts site:
*Note the price, and the fact that you have to order the center part (#5) as a assembly* (4 colors Black, orange, gunnetal, and silver):
The surround pieces are all the same size --just different colors

    https://toyotaparts.mcgeorgetoyota....nel-components-scat/?part_number=5540504130c5

PS -- I have a silver one for the 6" nonpremium radio for sale in the for sale 3rd gen parts section! I WILL SELL IT PARTED OUT!

FLASH! -- I just noticed -- they are now selling the surround piece separate. I stand corrected.

6C814701-5215-4282-A920-9235CD2254B3.jpg A close up of a rattle can job. The color is Rustoleum ‘nickel’ and just looks like silver from a distance.

I didn’t like the all dark DCEAAC79-A3A2-4B42-8C63-40E76534F9C7.jpg interior of the OR model and wanted a little trim accent color so I sprayed the upper dash trim, HVAC control surround, center console surround and four door trim pieces.

Like many are saying, it’s easy to do yourself. Pull off the trim, tape it up and spray.

I used a hair dryer to dry the paint quickly between a few coats and was surprised at how even the paint turned out with no splotching. Looks similar to stock SR5 trim.

Why not take it apart? -- there is about 6 snap/click fasteners and 10 small screws that hold it together. But, I might add --you did a nice job on yours!

I went through my local dealer lot looking at all the colors (to make sure I was ordering the right color) -- The gunmetal is a shade or so darker than the silver is my perception.

Yep, I thought I wasn't going to like the orange trim, until I saw it. Now I can't imagine the interior without it. It looks great.

Pretty much, yeah (it's obviously going to look somewhat different as it's not clear coated). It's like a deep burnt orange. It's not blinding like it looks in that photo.

Same. I was not thrilled about this interior option when I saw it online. But it was the only DCLB OR model that was arriving anytime soon so I took it. Now I really like it. I'm trying to get rid of all of the chrome so it's leaving the rest of the truck with a lot of MGM and black. The orange adds a good splash of color

My dealer says the trucks with leather seats are coming with graphite/gun metal trim.

My dealer just told me that the only color the 2018 premium package comes in (because leather is standard for this year in the premium pkg) is black/gunmetal

EDIT: He got back to me again and said that the orange is available depending on the exterior color. I had a quicksand exterior for which orange isn't available, only black/gunmetal. So you may get orange depending on your exterior.

I did remove all 10 screws on the dash panel pieces and also the 6 or 8? screws on the center console backing piece before painting. That would have been a more time consuming tape up job without removing those!

I only taped up a narrow inner channel surrounding the driver and front passenger side armrest trim after removing them from the door and also removing screws for the window switches and taking those out.
I don’t remember why now. Was it because I couldnt get the back plastic piece off? Was it glued or welded on? My mind fails me.
