I'm thinking about powder coating my factory OR wheels black but was curious if any of you have done other colors?
How did your powder coated wheels turn out and are you happy with your choice?

I had a set of SRT wheels powdercoated in a root beer color.

Make sure you can get a set of lugs that compliment whatever color you choose.
I never did get it sorted out.

when I was stationed in Virginia I had wheels on my mustang powder coated in black. I was super impressed with the durability and look. A lot cheaper than buying new wheels.

I was kind of wondering if anyone has fone them in the dark bronze color. I think they would look pretty cool

Best 300 I've spent in a long time. Everyone who sees them are really impressed with how they turned out.

    Why not just paint them?

How does power coating hold up over time?

To my knowledge, paint can scratch and chip over time and powder coating holds up longer.

That’s what powder coating is, baked on paint. More durable however!

What’s a fair cost to get wheels power coated?

    LOL

Have you looked into products like Steel-It. Stainless Steel paint, fully weldable, it does take 7-10 days to cure but its pretty durable. It's also easy to touch up.

In theory, powder holds up well until to scuff or scratch it and if left unattended will cause the rest of the powder to flake off over time. If you rattle can it, it won't be exactly the same.

Don’t get me wrong powder coating has its place. The one downside is when corrosion gets under it by way of a scratch or blemish is travels under it rusting like crazy. If your not able to do so yourself have a body shop base coat/clear coat them.

Alright, I might be on to something else but I want your guys opinion.
My buddy has these XD778 Monsters. Their 18's with brand new Toyo RT's.
I test fit one yesterday and liked them but, cant really make up my mind. If I buy these, I have to sell what I already have.
What do you guys think?20200216_144617.jpg 20200216_144717.jpg
