My wireless charger is bubbling, I don't care to get it fixed.

Wonder if the non wireless charger models have more room in that cubby?

    Anyone?

I don't think the SR / SR5 have any more room

    Oh look, another mod....

They don't have any more or less room. The charging pad is just that, a pad. I had mine bubble up on me about...8 months ago. I took it to the dealership (still under warranty) and I was in and out in under 55 minutes.

Funny thing is, I have NEVER used it. I rest my phone there, but I never charge my phone from it. I always have the Qi button turned off.

I replaced it with an aftermarket functioning charging pad.

Mine was never used either and it's bubbled up, in fact I removed the switch and used the power for 2 USB ports. Does anyone have the part number for the regular cubby?

Mine is there and that's about all I can say about it. Never use it and never think about it.

PS: how would removing it be advantageous?

You get a spot for a switch. Also you gain about an inch or so in depth in that spot. I did use mine the other day when my phone decided it was wet and wouldn’t charge via the cable. Had to move it around to find the right spot to start charging.

I removed mine and using it as a spot to hold my "project". As far as space gained, not much...here is a visual:

What’s that like a 1/4 inch? Also. What’s the “project”?

That’s awesome. Not that it matters but it doesn’t look legal, but it could be handy on a 2 lane road. Ive noticed if there are sirens, everyone here (California) for a 3 mile radius pulls over, no matter what direction the siren are coming from or going to.

Agree. It's just for fun as off road chase lights but also as construction warning lights (for work).

You buy an access cab and get a neat little storage cubby :)

Is this the one that's being sold on eBay? I wonder if it will fit without removing the charging pad...

I like that a lot. I don't use that slow charging pad...mine has bubbled now too. I'd much rather have a little organizer there for all my shit that gets thrown there.

Amazon. No it won’t. It goes down into the place where the pad resides. You might be able to buy the plastic piece that goes into the spot where the pad normally is, then just delete the pad.
