Anyone have or have any opinion on these tires? Hawaii has junk availability for tires in general and these are priced pretty good.

The REVO 2s are available for $85 in 265/70R16!!

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
I ran Revo 2s on a couple Jeeps and had no qualms. They were sticky and lasted a good while. I would have gotten them for my Tacoma but ended up with a good deal on the Michelin LTX MS2s and decided to try them instead.

I had Revo 2's. Great rain tire. Quiet and comfortable. Not so hot in snow. Decent off road. I ran them for several years on my regular cab 4wd.0602001348.jpg

Thanks guys. I really, really like the revo 3 and how it looks but it's really hard to turn down an $80 tire.

The other crappy part is I have to deal with firestone. They always mess something up when I go in.

Tires plus (a Firestone umbrella) were great. In and out. Made fresh coffee. Clean shop and friendly. Open on a Sunday!!!!

In Hawaii, I guess you’re kind of limited

The things to remember when considering an $80 tire are:
    1) Brakes don't stop your vehicle, tires do. Brakes stop your tires.
    2) Steering components don't steer your vehicle, tires do.
    3) Your engine doesn't accelerate your vehicle, it accelerates your tires.
The only part of your vehicle that touches the ground are your tires. Buy cheap gas, cheap oil, cheap brakes, cheap headlights, cheap wiper blades, but never cheap out on tires. :)

revo 2's are a legit tire. They are only $80 because they have been replaced with a redesigned Revo 3.

I misunderstood. My bad. Revo 2's are great, and for 80 bucks that's a great deal.

Im on my 3rd set of REVO 2s and i fully plan on getting the 3s when its time.

The above comment about them not being great in the snow should be taken with a grain of salt. They are great on a snowy highway. Off the highway in deeper snow then sure, they dont have the aggressive tread like a k02 or Duratrac.

Ok cool. I think I'll go for the revo 3s when I need them.

I've got my eye on the Dueler Revo's... what are the pros/cons of going with Revo 2's opposed to 3's??? I have found both available, and the 2's are cheaper since the 3 is supposed to be the "newer" version. From searching online the biggest differences I have found are weight (2's = 42lbs, 3's = 37lbs) and tread grade (2's = 500, 3's = 540). Is that all, or am I missing something else? Is an extra ~$50/tire worth the reduced weight and 40 point gain in tread grade? Thanks in advance for your input!

I have 5k miles on my Revo 2 tires. I bought the 2’s because they were on close out. So far fantastic! Handled great in the snow! Low noise. I’m testing them off road Memorial Day weekend.

Fantastic value. The 3’s looked more aggressive

Check the tire MFG date code. Tires degrade after 6 years. If the Revo2s you get had been on shelves for a year, that's possibly 17% reduction in service life depending on how many miles you drive per year. May still be a good deal either way.

5 lb weight difference won't be noticeable on our trucks (it would be very noticeable on a sports car).

Thanks BookieBob and 3JOH22A for your input. Thats a real good point about the age of the 2's.

I put in 25k-30k per year. I wasn’t worried about shelf life. I buy new ones every 2 years

I think with the Revo2’s you’ll be good. The 3’s came out a few months ago. If it saves you $400-$700 buying the 2’s like I did, do it! I’d buy them again! It’s a fantastic tire for what I paid

$368.00 for a set of 4 with free lifetime rotation at any Firestone (every 5k Miles)
