Upfront, I have nothing to do with this site, I just used it's recommended way of buying with minor changes. I'd recommend fightingchance.com for the factory invoice and msrp of whatever car you're interested in. (the 1st one was $45, $15 each for up to 5 more) The info can be found elsewhere but it was so much easier using them. He suggests using a phone and email attack with the dealers. I did it a little differently. I went to 10 dealer websites and told the live chat what I wanted and when I wanted to buy. I asked that they give me a quote the following day excluding tax. When you get the quotes in, call them all again and ask if they can beat the lowest quote. Then buy from the lowest dealer. I got my 2018 Tacoma Limited for $3000 under factory invoice. Always base your car purchase on factory invoice, never on msrp. Even if they sell it to you under factory invoice, they still make money due to factory kickbacks, etc. Good luck.

The numbers don't really matter. What matters is that you get the best deal while playing one dealer against the other. Then take the best deal offered. Just know that Toyota doesn't compete against Ford, etc. They compete against other Toyota dealers. And you will tell them that you are getting competing offers. Hide nothing. Make them compete.

Anyway, I got a 2018 Tacoma Limited with floor mats, trifold tonneau cover and running boards. I got the truck for $3000 under factory invoice which i ended up paying $33,000 plus tax. I bought the same truck in 2004 for $26,000. Not bad for 14 years later.

I used a few. I used Car Gurus, True Car, and Kelley Blue Book. All were a great help in making my decision.

I used this when I bought my 2019 Tacoma SR5 4WD DCLB last month. Paid $34,000 OTD ($31,500 + TTL). It did took me a long time to find one. I wasn't in a hurry to buy a new vehicle so if I didn't like the price, then I just walked out.

    100% THIS.

You scare the shit out of salesmen when you walk in knowing exactly what you want and how much to pay. You may not get the best deal at any dealer the first day you walk in. Knowing how to play the game is the first step. I used fightingchance.com when I bought my last 3 vehicles and I am very pleased with the prices I paid.
