First off, everyone bitching about these truck being underpowered would benefit from this. It doesn’t add power (as we all know) it changes the throttle response.

I installed this and ended up with level 8 in the city mode as my preferred setting. The first 1/4-1/2 inch of throttle travel is similar to stock, but part throttle response is vastly improved. I drive a lot of very hilly terrain and it was annoying to keep pressing the gas more, and more, and more to finally get a downshift to climb a hill. The throttle curve can almost be infinitely adjusted and I am very happy with how the truck performs now. The transmission has even learned the quicker throttle input and seems to shift better too.
Having to reach so far into the pedal to get some acceleration gives the sensation of no power.
This truck has plenty of power stock.
Sure, you can get a tune but I didn’t want to go that route. I don’t need power, I wanted responsiveness.
    The beauty of the Banks?
1.Reverse ALWAYS defaults to stock so you don’t go flying through the garage door lol.
    2. No CEL, I can adjust on the fly with no issue including going back to stock.
    3. It’s using a 12v power supply off the DLC, not the 5v at the pedal.
    4. If anything goes awry, it automatically goes back to stock.
    5. Adjustability: Stock/City/Sport/Track all have ten levels of adjustability.
    6. A trip to the dealer which requires removal takes all of about 3 minutes.
I’m very happy, it did exactly what I was looking for.
    Here’s where mine is set:IMG_0637.png

Yeah, it's really tough to push the pedal harder.

I have similar product in my other vehicle and I love it. People who never tried it will never get it.

    Thanks for the review.
How does it compare to driving with ECT engaged?

The Banks version is one of the highest rated. I drove a truck with one and in my opinion it makes the throttle response more like the old drive by cable where every movement of the pedal did something whereas drive by wire has lag and lots of dead space.

This does what the ECT should do. ECT just holds gears, this grabs them faster for you.

I’m happy with mine. It’ll do until I decide to get a tune one of these days.

It isn't tough, it is un-natural.
