Anyone with an OME lift on their early 1st gen- 98-00- have pics of their OME exhaust hanger installation? I have a Borla exhaust and I am looking at getting it sorted. Looking for the correct OEM hanger and isolator, mainly.
    Thanks

Thanks, I’ll check it out, that answers my questions, now more fun with awkward bolts and ta buried and buggered capture nut
Last fall I was a few days down the AlCan and noticed that my exhaust was setting on the leaf spring ( it was about a 1/2” above at the beginning of the trip.

I cobbled some strap and longer bolts with some nuts for spacers to get me down south. Now just looking to see what I need to get it sorted. I will be fabbing some extensions for the E brake as well.

Disclaimer: I have the OME Dakar exp pack with the OME AAL, and Bilstein 5125 shocks.

most people just cut off that section and leave it pointed down and back after the axle. myself I've left it stock but have Walker and no issues (couldn't bring myself to chop a new exhaust :p)

also, you shouldn't need e-brake extensions. brake line yes, but the hard cable should be fine

I agree with that, not vain or anything, but the Borla is a sweet exhaust. I don’t wheel hard enough to hack it off.

E brake- well might not although I might be adding an Icon AAL pack and since it basically rides on the spring anyway, adding the pack will most likely make that worse. That’s a year plus down the road, all new planned additions to the rig are on hold till next summer, I’m in exile down here in america...
