Well i could not pass up a deal. A set of bp51 coilovers and rear shocks. I made a few calls to tech support at arb and the front coilivers are the same(spring rate, entended and collapsed lengths)other then the tune. The rear are 5mm shorter Collapsed and 25mm (1") shorter extended vs the tacoma specefic. For 500 dollars i thought it would be worth trying. If it doesnt work out i can always make my money back and then some. From what i could find the 4 runner is about 300 punds heavier in the front and 400 in the rear. I wish i could upload some pics from my phone as i dont get on a computer much anymore. I will try and give as much info as i can to how it works out. With the adjustability of the rebound and compression i hope i can make it ride well. I dont have much weight about
100lb sdhq sliders paid used 600
36lb might be per bar?cbi overland bars paid used 250
105lb Tepui Ayres rtt paid used 500
285 70 17s on konig 17x8 wells paid 400 but will need new tires in about 5k.
As you can see i like deals. Of anyone has any thought i would appreciate it. I am going to order the tacoma fromt and rear fit kits and the carrier drop. I have a potential deal on some used medium dakars with u bolts. My goal is under 1200 . Including the alignment. Manual labor by me. Ph i think i will set the preload at either 10mm or 12mm. I read a post about someome putting trdpro 4 runner suspension on a tacoma and it seemed to work ok for them

Received in the mail over the past few days the carrier bearing dro, front and rear fit kits (no way around getting as there is a lowering bracket for the rear shock to clear the axle and the front resivour brackets also serve as a sway bar spacer. Just need to take the. Oilovers to a shop to have the preload set at 5mm currently they are set at 20mm. Hopefully i can install them thus weekend

Well over the weekend i had the preload set at 5mm and installed the coilovers and leafs. I had ywo.diffrent instructions one from the arb tech via email and the other in the front fit kit. Well the fit kit said 10mm with no weight and looks to be a revision. I had forgot to measure the stock lift. And when i put it on the ground the front looked about the same . I measured it and it was about 21 drivers and about 21.25 passenger and from what i can find that is just a little above stock. I have read in a thread on here that 5mm should have given me 22. I have a little over 23 in the rear. So i am hoping 10mm doesnt give me more than 22. I did run into a problem with the rear shocks . I was told the stock bushings for the upper pin mount would work well they are def undersized. I now need to find a set of ome's or ?? As i didnt get the top bushing and nut as well as the metal plates that go between. I also found a nick and some rust on the rod near thenbottom on one shock soni will need to get some emery cloth and smooth it out so dont damage a wiper or seal. I did drive it around the block with just the coilovers and it gelt very soft but a little.bouncy. maybe the preload or rebound setting. I was a little scared about the resivour hose as the 4 runner are shorter and have a 90 on them. But it worked out great and are not in a bind or rubbing anything. Hopefully at some point i can get on a. Omputer and upload some pics. Hopefully i will get good news about the bushings from arb as i could not find them on the internet at all .

I didnt get the bushings and i am glad you asked. Since i planned on installing them friday and saturday i decided to have a reducer made at a local machine shop. It was $182 but i had them press them in and they were done by the time i had my front coilovers adjusted to 11mm driver and 10mm passenger. All in all after alignment i am in this 1k. The ride is night and day compared to stock trd or. I did have to trim the drivers rear roost guard as the tacoma comes with one short one. I also had to trim the rear lower bushings (good thing i had the reducers the width of the eye not the busing). The rear reauvour hoses are in a little of a bind but it ahould be ok and dont rub. All in all i would.call it a sucess and i am very pleased .

I thought the front suspension worked perfectly and does not need to be fixed I don't understand exactly, what did you do with the low rear hub? just press the bushing or you made a new one
