Hey Guys , has anyone replaced there oil pump and have a procedure for this work ? I am experiencing a low oil pressure light on start up that goes away within a few seconds but a recent engine noise that also goes away after 30 seconds is making me feel like the oil pump is on its way out. any insight to this is appreciated

What engine? How many miles? What kind of oil filters are you using?

The pump is a part of the timing chain cover, directly driven by the crankshaft.
Need either pull the engine or remove front suspension, diff to get the cover off

Feels more likely that it would be the pressure sender failing.

Possibly! I guess I need to check oil pressure at idle and see the readings. the light is only on for 1 second and disappears
