2008 Taco single cab. Oil looks like it is coming from high up on the passenger side front of the engine. Cant quite see I think it was the manifold in the way.Is there a common leak on these?Maybe timing cover up high?

Seen this one before, “check your oil filter, replace oil filter and clean the mounting surface.

Try post # 3 and quit trying to make us all guess. Put forth some effort.

And get you one of these. It is worth its weight in gold for looking around an engine for stuff like this.

Agreed, a left over spray bottle with some Dawn soap and water. Spray on, soak for a few minutes than spray/wipe off. Check it at the first start up of the day and the last shut off of the day.

I had my oil pressure sending unit leak on me around Christmas.
the way the wind blew all around under the hood had the oil ALL OVER THE PLACE, it "looked" like it was from the valve cover, but thankfully I noticed how wet the plug was ( passenger side, Visible through the wheel well ) and when I had engine running, you could see clear as day that it was dripping at a steady pace from the plug

I'd clean off that plug and check that as well, easy to access, and simple to do

Got it cleaned up except for behind the alternator and belt tensioner pulley bracket. It really looks like it may be coming from that area though, as there is some oil mixed with dirt (mud) there. I will keep an eye on it and pull the alternator if needed for a better look. Maybe it is blowing around in there and actually from somewhere else, who knows. My thought at this point is timing cover but I will let yall know where I go from here after my day off Friday.

The leak is coming from the timing cover. Anybody ever do one of these without pulling the head?Need a few tips on this one. Thanks

How many miles? Might be wise to do timing chain and tensioner, but these usually go 300k
