    Can anyone help diagnose?

I went in to replace spark plugs and wires and discovered a decent amount of oil in spark plug wells 3 and 1.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, a cursory search on the internet leads me to believe head gasket, or valve cover gaskets. But I would like TacomaWorlds input first.

There is oil leaking under the car as well.

The reason I went to replace the spark plugs is because of this engine vibration like the engine was always trying to keep up. When I was idling it would shake the whole car.

Great. If I replace it myself, is there anything else I should replace while I have the engine open?

You are supposed to replace the seals when you pull the throttle body, as well as upper and lower plenum. This will involve some simple coolant lines on the iac and a few vac lines.

Replace the spark plug tube seals, valve cover gasket, and PCV grommet. The PCV grommet is a lot easier to replace when the valve cover is off the engine because the old grommet can be brittle and fall apart into the valve cover. (I'm not sure if the PCV valve is on the side that you have the leak.)

If you're going to do one side do both.

While you are in there, check the cam. plugs at the back of the heads.

Awesome much appreciated what is the pct valve and grommet? Its just an air intake and outtake? Can anyone accurately show me where it is at?

Also, this is what the inside of my engine looks like. Thoughts?

It's the white elbow shaped plastic fitting coming out of your passenger side valve cover.

Well I'm done but for some reason I'm still getting a misfire in cylinder 3 and 6. Hopefully its just the connections.

You can swap some wires if they'll reach. I never tried it on this engine so I don't know if they'll reach, but it might give you an idea if you're getting a bad spark on those cylinders from the wires / boots. Of course you have to switch both ends...
