So i did google and many choices.
I have the cheap cast aluminum one and it gets stuck on the filter cap and is a pain to get off after tightening the filter.
Whats the best one that i should get that will not get stuck on?

My cheap filter tool looks like this. I lightly tap the outside of the filter tool with a wrench and it slips right off. Give it a try and see if yours slips off too.

If you rotate the flute-style filter wrench, you may find it comes off easier at a certain point. Mark that spot. If yours is beat up, then a new one is in order.

I thought about that but my luck it would fall off while driving and who knows what damage it would.

You have higher chances to lose oil fill-up cap

Also make sure you have a big enough ratchet, or get you a breaker bar to get it loose

I swapped over to the Lexus cap and cheapest Amazon filter wrench I could find. Works perfectly. I also swapped front diff plugs to the Lexus plugs as well...highly recommend.

Get the Motivx kit with the filter drain valve and hose, funnel that screws into the oil fill tube, and the Filter wrench with the teeth that grips the slots in the filter housing. For me, the kit makes it very easy, and less messy to change the oil in our trucks. Personally, I opted to update to the metal filter housing from the Camry/Lexus, as well. Ski

Could be mistaken, but it looks like that one grabs onto the 'tabs' of the oil filter housing. Most oil filter wrenches have updated their design to NOT touch those as they are known to snap and destroy the oil filter.

If that's the case..I wouldn't recommend that one to anybody. Just my 2c.

    Current and good design below.

    not enough.
i use the motivx tools and i know what you're talking about, sometimes after tightening or loosening, the tool binds a tiny bit and you can't just simply pull it off. My trick is to take your ratchet wrench, put it in reverse (or whatever direction is opposite of what you just did) and give it a slight push, it'll unbind the tool without moving the filter housing. you'll feel it. then it either pops right off for me or requires a tiny shimmy back-and-forth and it'll slip off.

Had to laugh at this. Don’t ask me why or search for my most recent oil change post and you will know.

For some reason not mine. I tighten it by hand but when i take it off i need pliers to loosen it.
