Hello I usually get my oil done at a jiffy lube, but now trying to save some money in these crazy times. What do you recommend for full synthetic oil and what oil flilter? for 2013 Tacoma that tows? Also how much does it hold. 6 cylinder.

    Thank you

Toyota oil filter, 5w-30 Mobil 1 full synthetic high mileage protection if you have over 75k and 5.5qts.

Dont bother with high mileage. If the vehicle shows no signs of oil leaks DO NOT USE HIGH MILEAGE OIL. High Mileage oil is designed to swell seals and reduce or stop leaks. If you arent leaking you will swell seals, causing excess seal wear.

Regular Mobil 1 5-30 syn is good stuff. Realistically any oil standard or synthetic so long as its the right weight 5w-30 and meets the specs of the truck will be fine. But like stated steer clear of high mileage oils. And if you do use high mileage oils, DO NOT SWITCH BACK unless you like oil leaks.

OEM toyota filters can be had online for 4-5 bucks a piece and have MUCH greater filter media than most others.

you don’t realize how much money you’ve been wasting, man. (And risky letting Jiffy Lube change your oil).

Highly recommend a fumoto valve. I can change my oil with no tools and no mess in about 1 hour ( only about 5 minutes of actually work, the other 55 minutes is letting the oil drain out)
