For those that don't know: 2021 Trail Special Edition double cab Army Green is what I am working with.

These pics are for reference, they are my 2003 CRV. Give an idea where I am wanting to go with my taco as far as lights. Not worried about a roof mounted light bar though, thats easy. Also not a fan of the long bar in the grill type idea. Couple short ones maybe. The pods you see on the CRVs bull bar were on the cowl, but too heavy and started having issues shaking after a while. But they are as bright between the 2 of them as pretty much the rest of the light pods and the light bar combined. Kind of hoping the gen 3 ditch light mounts would be strong enough and not interfere with opening the hood.

    20200827_141705.jpg 20200924_213435.jpg

Being an older vehicle I had no issues with cutting, drilling etc to make things look clean. Do not want to drill into body or anything like that in this case. Little bit into plastic is fine though.

I have been doing searching to get some ideas and options.

Found the "ditch light" mounts, so that's covered.

Bed will have some for of rack installed, was debating on RCI 18"overland rack but a 3rd kayak could be an issue with my fin antenna on the cab. Heavy metal I would have already ordered if it had cross bars or at least the mounts that go to the bed rails were wider.

My biggest thing is wanting to find switches that fit the blanks in my dash. My CRV I removed the glasses holder from the overhead assembly, modified things and mounted a switch plate there. Not fond of modding my brand new interior.

    Thanks guys.

Not sure why the objection to a hidden light bar in the grille. It offers enough light to knock down a small airplane and doesn’t really show like external lights.

Ok that actually doesn't look bad at all.

What one are you using? That pic it doesn't look like blue tint to the light like most.

I got it at 4 Wheel Parts, don’t remember the brand but I think it was right around $170.

Best light bar on the market, hands down.

Oh that light bar is sweet but guessing stupidly expensive as well?

    Some nice set ups.

Diode is actually not far from me. Friends with one of their optics engineers that went off to do his own thing.

So what is everyone doing regarding switches? I'd like to make use of the blank spots in the cab, not start cutting things up.

Thanks. Still have it, she's just getting a break till the "new toy yota" feeling dwindles a bit. Then back to driving it for most daily stuff during the week. Once we close on a new house, she's getting some much needed tlc to rear suspension.
