lol it seems you are using the random numbers. I said estimate is Tacoma TRD Pro to be about $10k more than Limited, and I said TRD Pro estimate around $66,895 so minus $10k would put iforce max Limited around $56.8k including destination so about $3k more miles than non hybrid

 

You could be right, but Ive been watching most of the videos available since May and haven't heard one person mention that until now.

Gen4 is really really good. Special mention to standard LED’s & wireless CarPlay. Pour one out apparently for real leather, but cows can breath a sigh of relief.

More sticker shock on the 2.4T’s comes when navigating the options, which are conspicuously nowhere to be found. Come on Toyota we’re customers, not your kids…

With the distributors waiting to get big piece of you, and the dealers ready to go scorched earth on your life savings & trade, unless you’re financing a ‘24 by creating YouTube content, I wouldn’t be the first in line at the dealer. Unless…I’m stealing one of the last loaded ‘23’s for well under sticker.

 

My 22 stickered just under $45,000. I would not balk at $47,000.

No one is taking into account the 14" screen isn't standard here. If the 24 TRD OR is 43k base....add some random options and that 14" screen package you easily hitting 50k if not more.

 

That isn’t terrible. I guess the 10+ percent days are gone for good.

 

I’ve said it before but getting way more torque and a much faster truck for the same MPG is an excellent increase in efficiency. I’m not sure how anyone expected much better mileage than this. We asked for better acceleration and they gave it to us without sacrificing MPGs.

And the pricing seems right in line with the expectations for any new truck. 2023 ORs were already close to $50k with any decent options added on.

Some of you had already decided to be pissed off about this stuff no matter what the numbers ended up being.

 

I reserved my 23 OR for under 40k. Dont know where you got that number.

 

This is expected. My buddy had a Tundra V8 with 5.7 and purchased the new Tundra with 3.5 V6 turbo. He said he slightly gets worse mpg in the turbo V6.

 

I didn’t say you can’t get one under $40k. I said they get close to $50k with options.

Yes. The challenge is finding specific color/trim combos.

It’s a rare event every 8 years or so when you can either get a really good deal on an older Tacoma, or pay more for an all-new Tacoma. Can’t go wrong either way.

Personally I’m a fan of the new truck, but see a lot more value in getting a deal on the old one. Consider that even today the guy who bought a Gen2 in 2015 is driving a really good truck, and with Gen4 prices now out, Gen3 looks like a crazy Black Friday bargain.

 

Wait until you get the truck in and it has 5k worth of add ons you didn't want lol.
