There are a couple c-load rated 275's that weigh less than the e-load if you don't need the load carrying capability of an e-load tire.

I got the new TRD 2/1 lift that Toyota recently put out and is warranty approved. 275/70/17

I got the new TRD 2/1 lift that Toyota recently put out and is warranty approved. Nothibg more. 275/70/17 Wildpeaks are c load rated. Very happy with acceleration and responsiveness. Too early to tell about fuel consumption. Not worried about rubbing at all. There's lots of clearance from every angle.

Between 275/70r17 KO2 vs Wildpeak AT3W which is meatier? Or in other words which has higher chances of rubbing?

I had a curve ball thrown at me yesterday with the lift kit that was supposed to be installed on my newly arrived Sport not available. I decided to switch to the TRD OEM lift and then spent hours combing thru pictures trying to see a tire setup that I loved. I finally came across yours and it settled it for me. Looks great. And if you're driving the streets of Boston and see a twin Taco, it might be me. Thanks for posting the pictures.

    Hello everyone,

I am so confused with all the information. I want to run the SEMA TRD Pro 4Runner wheels on my 2021 OR Tacoma. I am on stock suspension with no mud flaps. My question is, will 275/70/R17 Wilds-Peak or BFG rub at all? With some what aggressive driving at times. I saw someone did the setup but said they did not rub, some say they do rub. I will not be lifting anytime soon but I do want the SEMA TRD rims on my truck. Help please? Haha.

Anyone know what the lightest 275/70 out there is? Any SL options? Appears most tires I am seeing in this size are E load range. Am I missing something here?

So I’m one of those that said it didn’t rub (98% of the time). I’m on stock suspension with no flaps, and the rub is very very minor at really random times ( once every 30 times driving). I stuff my tires and it’s fine when empty and fully loaded. It usually happens when I turn to almost full lock in either direction and then stuff it, but even then, it’s barely touching one part of the inner fender liner. Nothing trimming a millimeter of a single part of the inner fender can’t handle. I’ll get to doing it at some point. Also, I don’t have a special alignment either.

I love my 265/70/17 SL Wildpeaks, but those C load 275s are hogs weighing in at like 58lbs. That’s a heavy C load for the size. I may just say screw it and do the 285/70 Ridge Grappler in SL rating that only weighs 49lbs. Unfortunate there are not more options in this size as I do like the look and the fact I wouldn’t have do near as much work to make them fit.

When I was looking at 275s this is the issue I ran into, saw the Ridge Grapplers at under 50 pounds and if I ever go up in tire size this is what I'd do. Of course I'd have a lot of work to make 285s fit so I think I'll be sticking with 265/70/17.

I use the Wildpeaks and milage dropped two mpg with those, a bumper and the lift. Pretty worth it being in the Northeast.

Love the truck, I take mine next Monday for the same set up. Have you noticed any rubbing at all?
