Devon white being out the 1st half of bama game hurts LSU more than any other scenario happening. That bs targeting call definitely got LSU in the hole now for sure. Going to have to take a whole lot of stepping up from some players to replace him.

 

They will probably use Delpit in creative ways to confuse the Bama offense. Then in the second half they will switch it up and create more havoc with Devon White being back.

 

I see it being an issue with Delpit though. Because now they won't have the freedom to use Delpit in pass rushes since the next MLB in line (I don't even know who it is) probably can't cover like White can. The only thing that helps is that LSU plays a 3-4 so losing a lineback is better than losing a lineman or safety, but that lineback being Devin White sure does hurt. hated the call but it is what it is. will be interesting to see.

I definitely think Delpit/Williams/Fulton stopping the Jeudy post route is more important. Such an uncreative play that nobody has stopped. LSU secondary will get beat a couple times, but they can match up, we shall see for how long...

I agree, I understand the ref's initial flag but the replay takes 3 seconds to see Devon never used his helmet in the hit. This doesn't have a good look for the replay guys

After watching Alabama this season, I don't think one defensive player being out will change the outcome. Bama will need to turn the ball over(3-4 times) and have multiple penalties for anyone to have a small chance.

the fact that the refs basically forced Fitzgerald to the sideline after, with him arguing with them, was kinda a bad sign to me. not sure what that was about. clearly he was fine and they were facemask to facemask with each other on the way down. don't understand the call, but it is what it is. I think Delpit can make the plays needed, the guy is better than the honey badger Mathieu was in the secondary....but he'll need help against that offense.

I will say the match-up is intriguing. LSU powerhouse D vs. Bama powerhouse O. LSU average O vs. Bama not as good as past D. Not saying their D isn't good, it's just not as good as past.

 

I was listening on the radio, and heard Fitz left the game. What was the reason they made him leave? Is that part of the targeting protocol? Based on the radio announcers it sounded like he sure-enough got popped! I was actually somewhat excited when I heard that Keytaon was in the game. It was a weird series non-the-less.

LSU will be Bama's only test until either the SEC championship game (unless it's vs. florida or kentucky), or the playoffs. I need to add a disclaimer, Tua must be the qb and healthy.

The honey badger was all over the field every play. Remember this one....LOL the ref was like "dang this guys bada$$, oops, oh-well

 

I wonder if Saban will let Tua go after Delpit instead of avoiding him. ??? In the pass game specifically. I would say most of the RPO's will be run in the first half in Delpit's direction and depending upon his behavior Tua will be in charge of making a decision to throw or hand off.

 

Will be interesting to see. Both incredible players.

 

Yeah, maybe its just me, but I think Delpit would look much better in Crimson and White.

I remember that play with the honey badger and the game. Another time CMR shit the bed. Georgia was up big at half and gave it all away by not coming back out in the second half.

Only small victory so far for LSU, it is a 7pm game...

 

It is a small victory.

I'm not saying LSU is gonna win but people sure are counting them out big time. Alabama has played a defense in A&M ranked 22 and the next highest defense is Tennessee at 63rd in total defense. Yes their offense is great, but LSU is more than they've encountered period.
