I came across this video, and I am not experienced in major off roading so I don't know if the driver just sucks or they did their best to make the Taco look really bad at offroading.

Get some real tires on that thing, and let four wheel low do its job.

The driver sucks. He doesn’t use the features Toyota gave him to prevent these issues either.

I don't even have a rear locker. I've done a lot harder trails than these guys do. 4lo and big tires are all you need

Edit: lockers would be nice though lol and I plan on installing some in the future

A pointless video making an apples to oranges comparison of differently equipped trucks

A lot of guys call a locker the easy button. You push the button and everything is easy. But easy isn't always fun. Sometimes it's more fun if there's a bit of a challenge.

That isn't an easy trail especially when wet. Combine that with an inexperienced driver with what aren't the best tires for those conditions and you'll get exactly what you saw.

Most of the time your rear tires are the ones to come off the ground or lose traction so the obvious place to put a locker is in the rear. I'd love to see a factory option for a front locker but 99% of drivers will never even use the rear locker in their TRD Tacoma. So why waste the money?

I don't think the drivers sucks, That was a LOT steeper in places than it appears on video. Swap drivers and the results would have been the same. Those were some pretty rough spots. For what most people do a front locker isn't worth the expense nor the negatives associated with them. Most people don't drive trails that rough either. For those who want or need one some manufacturers offer them, and aftermarket is always an option.

Pilot rock lol, these guys are trying REALLY hard to make this trail look extreme for youtube views. They didn't even take any of the difficult break off trails.

I mean I'm not exactly innocent of this, I did a promo video for an old dealership and we made Toro Peak look way scarier than it actually is too... but at least we had real risk, ice/snow on single track trails with a 200ft dropoff on one side, would've taken a serious fuckup to actually go over though but youtube viewers don't know that :anonymous:
