I've done a couple searches and didn't see what I was looking for. Has anyone gone through and made a list of all the tools needed to make trail side repairs? I know these are new trucks but stuff does break. If you have made a off-road tool kit what do you have in it and what spare parts do you carry?

Stock or not? If so what mods? My truck requires special tools and lubricants for things like my king shocks and uni-balls. I carry an assortment of pliers, breaker bar, ratchet, 6mm-28mm sockets, adjustable wrenches, flashlight, ratcheting screwdriver, bit set, and a bunch of specialty tools. This is all I can think of off the top of my head at least.

All jokes aside, in my decades of travel, I've needed water, oil, bailing wire, duct tape and zip ties ... plus maybe a hammer and vise grips, more than I've needed traditional tools. Also, I've needed inch-size wrenches to fix camping gear or tighten aftermarket stuff. So don't forget those.

BFH, channel locks, duct tape, pry bar, multi tool. Seriously.

There is no possible way to carry all the correct tools you might need without bring a trailer full. You gotta be generic man because, chances are, you will be fixing somebody else's vehicle or something not even vehicle related.

I keep a roll of gorilla tape and a multi tool in my compartment under the rear seat. Also, about 6 free Harbor Freight flashlights all over the truck.

Want a arb twin compressor and a bag jack. Front armor and a winch would be nice but this can get you out of most situations although parts are usually the issue.

Air comp and tire plug kit in the door cubby, jump pack in the other, tool bag the size of a loaf of bread tucked behind the seat. The bag has a small extendable breaker bar, metric combo set and two ratchets with metric shallow and metric deep, channel locks, vise grips, dikes, zip ties, electrical tape, butt connectors and a combo crimper. Some guy once mentioned “what about the socket to remove the hubs” I’m like o_O this is more of a get me home bag than a “replace my bearings in the forest for shits and giggles bag” but I threw a 36mm in there anyway in case I felt like removing my hub by the campfire. There’s other stuff I forget to mention. Like the 2 person 0* sleeping bag (I like to stretch out when I give up on cv replacement when I’m in the bush) and a pelican case full of things to pass the time on my walk back to civilization. You can never be too prepared.

You can pretty much get off any trail with
    Metric sockets and wrenches
    Zip ties
    Hose clamps
    Duct tape
    ratchet straps.
And most important a friend to pull if needed

I broke an upper control arm on the Golden spike. Halfway through. This ratchet strap held for 6 hours of hard trail and 6 hours to flagstaff az to get a replacement

When your 6 hours away from anything and a tow truck can’t make it. you do what you have to. Lol.

The end of the trail is an easy dirt road next to a 1,000 ft cliff. By buddy radioed me asked if i was ok because I was falling behind him.
I replied yeah i just don’t want to fold a wheel up and run off this cliff.

My wife freaked out and asked was that possible. Then she really freaked out when I told her if the strap broke that’s exactly what would happen
