Trying to get some info on the OEM Toolbox. I just picked up a used one up but it needs a new lock mechanism. I am trying to find parts online or the actual manufacturer of the box but am coming up with nothing.

    Thanks in advance.

^ Thanks, I have the part # but still coming up with nothing.

If I remember correctly the box is actually built by Dee Zee but I can't remember where I read that. I guess I need to either visit the dealership or a truck accessory store and see if they can help me out with a new lock mechanism.

    Hmm.
I go to any of the generic parts sites and enter that part number and it brings up a push button lock.

Doh! I tried a few more sites and it came up.

I only tried a couple before and it kept coming up with the "large storage box". Thanks!

Can't help you with the manufacturer, but here's a link to some cam locks that might fight the bill for you as far as a replacement, providing you have the small tool boxes. I know the little ones use cam locks, I don't know about the big box as I've never seen one in person.

Hey guys, i know this is an old thread but i was hoping you guys might know where i can buy or order a new lock mechanism for the same OEM toolbox. Ive been rocking a DYI lock and latch but want to have a more peace of mind.

I did find more info on the toolbox, but not a lot due to it being discontinued. Its got eberhard parts on it but that was a dead end. I posted more photos showing more on the mechanism in case someone happens to know what there is to be done. I feel like i need more rod connectors but like i said, not a lot of info on how this tool box works.

Maybe stop at a locksmith store and ask about a core replacement.

when I had my set, I really wanted them all keyed the same.

Looks like your missing the latch, I can grab pics of mine tomorrow.

I think DeeZee is the original manufacturer of the box.

Does the lid of your tool box have a striker box? Mine has em but they could have been welded on there by the previous owner
