Stupid question but I want to keep the wiper blades as oem design as possible. Do they make Oem brand or replaceable rubber wiper piece?

The dealership parts department sells replacements. I’ve bought a few but don’t remember what they cost. They weren’t expensive though.

For me I paid $11 to have both inserts replaced. Took less than 3 min to have it done. Def go to the dealership for that.

Edit: Correction, $11 each so $22 total. Still beats buying new wiper blades.

Michelin Guardian Hybrid Wiper Blade From Costco 8$ each

don’t be fooled by oem Toyota parts. Always over priced and this isn’t some rare one of a kind truck.

You can buy the wiper blade inserts on ebay. They work good.

    • Genuine Toyota Tacoma - Passenger & Driver Front Wiper Blade Replacement Inserts (SET OF 2)
    • Toyota part numbers:85214-04030 85214-0E140

You can also use 85214-0T010 in place of 85214-04030. Some dealers may only stock one but not the other.

+1 for going to the dealer and getting inserts

I just did this, paid $8 for one and $9 for the other. Original set lasted more than 2 years so I expect the same out of these.

I used to buy wiper blades for previous vehicles but they are like 20-30 bucks each and last 1 year at the most

mines only been on for about 3 months.
How often do people swap theirs out?

my oem ones lasted about a year. I couldn’t imagine going 2 years. I like them to continue to clean well. I didn’t even think there was rubber replacement on the oem ones.

i replaced the own wiper blades onto the factor wiper arms.

Others here are talking about replacing the rubber on the blade. I’ve never done that

I've tried the various high end alternatives and nothing really does as well as the OEM wipers; just buy a few sets of OEM refills and change them yearly.

I love most everything at Costco but the Michelin wiper blades were one of my worst purchases.
