I'm having a hard time finding the exact OEM factory part number for 3rd gen Tacoma TRD Off Road stock Bilstein shocks.
I believe they are 48510-04190 FRONT, and 48530-04110 REAR.

    Can anybody please confirm this?

I'm planning on putting 2023 TRD Off road stock Bilstein shocks on my 2023 TRD Sport. Easy switcheroo. There are plenty of relatively new ones, pretty cheap on Offerup.

    Thanks

@Jeff Lange can confirm the part numbers.

I might make a suggestion of some Bilstien 4600's. They are an aftermarket but stock height replacement that will be a larger diameter and improvement over the stock Bilsteins.

Also note, the factory shocks are not 4600's.

Edited because I derped the shock model number.

Thanks for the replies. Yes I am aware the 4600's although similar in appearance, are not the same as the stock oem Bilsteins on the OR.
Just trying to make sure I have the part #s correct but I'm 99% sure I do now.
I'm planning to do the swap as soon as my new truck arrives in the next week or 2.

The stock bolstering suspension is really squishy, not really comfortable. I would recommend you get the 5100s and keep the stock coils, much better ride quality

I figured any Bilstein would be an upgrade from the stock TRD Sport Hitachi shocks. Maybe in 60K miles when I get new tires, I'll consider 5100s. I'm not planning to do much off roading with the exception of trails leading to a camp site or even some snowy mountains.

to each their own, but I hated the stock bilsteins. Insane amount of brake dive and body roll. I replaced the suspension really fast. I preferred the SR5 hitachi suspension over it

Definitely recommend 4600 or 5100 over the stock OR shock, they are bigger and better in every way. Usually the same price.

I actually had a TRD OR rental truck, drove it for 500 miles. I didn't mind the ride one bit. I should have mentioned, I'm not doing much off roading. I might be on a fire road now and then but that's about it. I appreciate your input though.

    Thanks Speedfreak,

I take your comment to mean that the TRD Billsteins are not 46mm.

"Improved ride" means different things to different drivers.
I would like to improve the ride of my SR5 for comfort on city streets and highways but still handle the occasional potholes.
Yes, I miss my Sienna. So, it's a systems dynamic, spring damper, deflection/time problem.
For my purpose, relatively soft springs (stock?) with dampers that gradually limit travel to eliminate rebound would seem to be the answer.
Someone on the forum recommended a set of OEM Bilstein take-offs to "improve ride".

Any source of data or actual user feedback would be appreciated.

    Bill

PS: As passenger in a 2025 Nissan test drive, SL vs Pro, the Pro (with Billsteins) had a noticeable nicer ride, despite more aggressive tires.

I was more than happy with my oem Bilsteins. Only switched over to 5100's to get 2" lift to fit my 33" pizza cutters better. And yes the bonus to lifting was loosing the oem brake dive, BUT it was also on the oem Sport model I test drove.

I never tested any other models, just assumed brake dive was V6 related. Maybe someone can chime in who have SR5's, Limited, or Sport models.

Op (Eric), are the Sport coils the same as Off Road coils?

My comment was stating the original equipment Bilstein shocks on TRD Off-Road's are not the same shock that Bilstein sells as 4600 series replacements.

As for ride quality, that is very subjective with no real way to qualify between one driver to the next. I completely agree with you there.

My experience with my TRD Sport was a difference in ride quality from the factory shocks to Eibach Pro Truck stage 2's. I likened the factory shocks to solid metal rods that had no give and transferred everything on the road right into the driver's spine, to the Eibach, which absorbed and controlled the suspension in a more controlled and absorbing manner.

I have not experienced Bilstein shocks but from what I have read on TW, they seem to be of similar design to the Eibach.
