He didn’t specify which model or size but did say it was INNO brand and that all the hardware to install it comes with it

I'd guess the large at 48" would be the one. The medium is only 40" and would not be long enough. Amazon has them for $80.

The Thule has a fitting guide. It says 44" for Tacoma DCSB factory rack

From the op's post I assumed it was an oversized fairing that was cut down to a close fit but that could be just what I would have done. Since the next size down INNO is only 40" that tells me the one from the video started out at 48". Are the oem rack front pieces really 4" wide? They look narrower to me, like ~2 1/2". The ditch moulding they replace is only maybe 1 3/8". I'm curious to see what gets done with these since I do find the curved fairing more appealing than any of the flat versions.

I have the factory rack installed. In the morning I'll go do some measuring. I like the look of that fairing too so I'm interested.

Following! I can't wait to see how this turns out. It might be nice to have this in-front of the sunroof to hopefully deflect some of that wind at highway speeds...plus is looks pretty sweet!

Ok, so I just finished installing my rack. The wind fairing will not arrive until Monday. I ordered the 40” INNO, which their website states is actually 1030mm or 40 1/2”. The distance between the front inside edges of the rack is 42”. That leaves about 1” between the edge of the fairing & the inside edge of the rack on each side due to the fairing curving slightly once installed. I think i will stay with the 40” & upload a pic after installation Monday evening. You can always buy the 48” & carefully cut it down for a tighter fit. Personally, the 1” will not bother me. Pics to come Monday. Have a great weeked!

Thanks for the update. I’m interested in how it turns out. I’m more than likely going to go with your exact set up. I see you’re from Lafayette. I’m from near Gulfport, MS. Not far from you.

Alrighty, so FedEx showed up today! Fairnig is on & i am pleased with the outcome. Exactly what i had expected. About 1” to 1 1/4” gap... Good luck, whichever route you decide to take...

That looks really good... the exact look I'm going for. I hope you don't mind but I'm copying that exact setup in the near future!! :anonymous: The 1" - 1 1/4" gap doesn't bother me at all as long as its symmetrical. No way I'd get the bigger one and try to cut it down. I'd rather a factory cut than no gap. Thanks for posting pics and updating the thread.

Lol! Have at it, bud! The fairing install was kind of a pain. The bolts for the clamps could have been a bit longer and the screw knobs with the nuts were kind of cheap, but it still worked out fine with a little finesse. I had to flip a couple of them around backwards and use a washer to make it work. So I'd advise you to have a few washers handy if you need to do the same. You'll see what I'm talking about. Before I installed the fairing, I rode around with the rack bars in the open position just to check it out. It would start getting pretty loud at speeds around 40-45mph depending on the wind, and it was really windy all weekend. After the fairing install, I drove around again, and it was considerably quieter. Not quiet, but not as loud as it was without it. Again, depending on the wind. It did help, though. It's a lot less quiet than the setup that I had on my Jeep for sure. I was expecting some wind noise, but overall it's not too bad. The full Kicker speaker upgrade drowns it out nicely, haha. Good luck with the setup and post some pics after you get it installed.

I might do this exact thing..............So I was wondering how this has held up for you all so far? Any problems with fit or noise? Has it worked well?

I was also considering adding one of the INNO baskets as well......I wonder how that would fit in with the OEM roof rails and the INNO fairing set up?

    Thanks
    Spence

Mine is still working as intended & has held up nicely so far. No issues at all with fitment or noise since being installed. I’ve hauled my kayaks quite a few times & there’s nothing negative to report... Not sure about the basket, though, as I haven’t checked it out.

I actually sold my truck so I did not end up installing the fairing. But, I plan on purchasing a 2020/2021 in April some time and will put this setup on the roof rack. It’s still the best looking IMO and will be functional for what I need it to do.

I'm back at it! So I had plans for my '19 to copy your set up but ended up selling that truck. Fast forward to last weekend I installed the OEM roof rack on my '21 Trd Sport and I'm looking to copy you once again. I've been looking at the Inno website and there's a giant logo on the fairing. My question to you is, is that a sticker logo that's removable or did yours not come with a logo? I don't really care for that giant logo and would rather a solid black fairing.

I read the reviews online and it appears it's a sticker that can be removed. I just ordered it from Amazon for $85. I'll post pics after I get it installed. Amazon Prime should be delivered on Thursday.
