Unfortunately you basically have to buy the OE from your local dealer because is crazy. My dealer does not deal. Still I am happy even at $1200

Did you check if they have an online parts website?

I bought the Toyota oem cover. It fits perfect, no modifications needed, no leaks. I prefer everything Toyota.

I also installed this OEM cover on my 24 TRD OR. I had a Bak unit on my prior 2018 TRD OR -- good quality and fit and no real complaints or problems. This new "OEM' unit is clearly a Bak product, fits well, seals well, and was not difficult to install. I purchased mine from the local dealer who discounted the unit to $1k even for me--I am pleased with the value.
    Cheers,
    db

The cover is now an easy choice, it used to be both a pain ITA to install and therefore recommend but toyota finally decided to make it right. we've installed a few of these and it is a world of difference compared to the old tonneau from the 3rd gens.

Is there an oem cover for short beds only? I can't seem to find a 6' bed version.

Covers and bed mats, no love for the long beds from Toyota oem...

For those that are happy with the Toyota OEM @$1000……congratulations…..it IS very pretty……
I got lucky, I was able to transfer my OEEDRO Aluminum Tri Fold from my 3rd gen……
Attaches to the rails, water resistant, looks good, and saved me $1000 for other Tacoma mods……

Thank you so much, William B Cooper. I purchased the official Toyota tonneau cover from the dealer, and was planning on installing it today, but there were no instructions. Your photos and the instructions you posted were awesome.

You're welcome. I have used the cover in several different scenarios of open-ness (?) and it has always performed great. Would buy again.

Has anyone tried the OEM cover on the 2025 models? I would think that they're the same but when using the filters there's no tacoma in the 2025 year. It might just be Toyota's website not updated on their end but just wanted to be sure.

It’ll be a short while for the parts websites to show the 2025 models in the parts diagrams and whatnot…

    Purchased for my 25 ORLB,

Oem Hard Tri Fold PT954-35241 (from my local dealers website) I did not purchase the oem I went with the Extang Endure ALX as it does not rest on the cab when folded up and has a more secure latch.

No, you have to open the tailgate to access the cover.

I think this is the worst and best thing about the cover… that and one of my foam blocks fell off and is lost now ;(
