OEM Console Safe - How to remove

Taking delivery next week on my 2022 Tacoma Pro. It is coming with a OEM Console Safe. I do not want it and plan on selling it. I just want a standard console that I can put my Console Tray in. Does anyone know how to remove the safe? Is it difficult?

I'm not understanding why people pay for Stealership add on accessories sometimes in the tune of $2k to $3k.. Just tell them straight up I'm not paying for anything that wasn't included or installed at the Toyota factory.. $73 phone charging cable, $100 pin stripe etc most accessories like the floor mats, console safe actually are twice the price at the Stealership for the exact OEM accessories too..They can't force you to buy the nose bleed add ons..several Attorney generals in several states have fined Stealerships for this type of business practices..

This is a good point. They weren’t able to remove the port installed blackout gear, but agreed to not add anything once at the dealership.

 

I've also told them to take off pin stripes and that I would charge the Stealership $5k for their vandalism they call free advertising on the vehicle..They quickly remove all that nonsense..

Yes..some Stealerships add ugly crooked pin stripes to everything they sell just to charge another $100..yes on new Tacomas and Tundras..
