Changing front brakes on my 07 TRD off road. I have 1 A pad, 1 B, and 2 C’s. Does the A go on the drivers side (inside), B on the passenger inside, and the C’s on the outsides?

Good Question.....pictures if you have a chance...

I believe the wear indicator goes on the inside of the rotor on the front brakes. ....you should be able to match them up at you remove them.

The ones I took off had the wear indicators on outside but I seen/read where they are supposed to go on inside. Just trying to get a definite answer.

I believe if you look in the front brake replacement thread the “indicator” goes on the inside leading edge of the rotor ...

In my notes I have it as

Pad A is for the driver side inside (engine side)

Pad B is for the passenger inside pad

The C’s go on the outsides

You are correct. I had only taken off the driver side pads at time of post. When I took off the passenger side the indicator was on the inside unlike the driver side. And a Toyota dealership did the last brake job before I bought the truck. Lol. Anyway, I put them on the inside.

They can only go on one way if you put them on the inside. I can’t remember if the indicators were on the top or bottom, I’m thinking top though. Like you said, A on driver inside, B on passenger inside, C’s on the outside.

Per the video, I do it a little differently. I lightly grease the hub areas that contact the new rotor. Not much, just enough to hopefully keep it from rusting to the hub. I also wipe the pins off, then lightly hit them with a Scotchbright pad, lightly grease, then reinsert.

You should just use new , they are only a couple bucks and the retaining clips also (they are like .25¢) That’s what I did anyway, used all new everything
