I purchased and installed a set of
OEDRO® 7'' Running Boards for 2005-2022 Toyota Tacoma Double/Crew Cab, Textured Black, Side Step Rails Nerf Bars
while this product seems to be made well and durable, it is heavy so be aware of that when you install yourself. I found the easiest for me was after attaching all the rocker panel brackets, lift and attach one end of the side step with one fastener assembly. Then the middle and opposite end. Once it’s entirely hanging off the floor attach the remaining fasteners. Use a small bubble level and start tightening all the fasteners then torque.
Finished product looks awesome. It mimics rock sliders but in no way it will hold up like real rock sliders.

Now for the burn! Oedro appears to be a U.S. company and their warehouses are in the U.S. but your purchase transaction are going to Hong Kong under the seller’s name of “PINLIECOMME” and the transaction type is classified as “FAMILY CLOTHING STORE”.

You will also be charged a 3% Foreign Transaction Fee from your bank depending on your what type of credit card you’re using.

I am very skeptical on this type of transaction as it could be defrauding and tax evasion. I have filed a complaint with the ftc.gov so they are aware of this. In the meantime, I am hoping that I won’t have any rusting and weld failures as I doubt that I will receive any form of customer service.

I know this has been a few years, but I was wondering if you could provide an update as to the longevity and quality of this brand? I am shopping around for something similar, but have never heard of them.

    Thank you in advance.

I have those installed. No issues. Now for off-road use I don’t recommend

They’re hollow and have holes in the ends with rubber grommets to seal them but mine each had around a quart of rusty water in them when I pulled them off. I do live in the wet PNW so I don’t think they like wet weather. If someone insists on getting them, I’d caulk the grommets for extra sealant. Also, torquing the bolts down upset the weather coating on them so for longevity I’d prolly spray some Fluid Film in those areas each winter.
