Has anyone used the Metromile "Pulse" device with an OBD2 splitter (see below)? I'd like to leave my Scangauge connected while using it. There are a ton of these splitters out there with mixed reviews. Metromile didn't have any advice either way. Would like to know if anyone using Metromile has tried using one of these with their Scanguage or other device they leave plugged in on a constant basis. Thanks!!

It should be fine, the OBD circuit has a 10a fuse and there's no way either device is using that much power that it would blow that. As long as both devices are just reading information you should be good. If one or both had bi-directional control it could be an issue. But an insurance device is just gonna be scanning to see how recklessly you drive by monitoring engine load, TPS %, and maybe it has an accelerometer and GPS. I'd say it would work fine

Thanks Speedytech7! BTW, I don't post much at all and lurk around here occasionally. Seen you mentioned in turbodb's trip reports over the years. Who knows, maybe we'll cross paths when I'm bumbling around Eastern Oregon one of these days :)

You're welcome, if you happen to run across my path feel free to say hi. Used to happen a lot when I lived in AZ, back in WA and OR I don't run into TW members as often it seems.
