    That was me, Nate :)

Yeah I did everything myself.. And I tied it into my cargo switch. But my offroad lights are controlled by switches in the blanks.

day 2 of trying to install the diff skid....mod to the front top bracket works, but rear brackets don't fit because of oem weld beads on the axle...have to grind those off and paint and then maybe can install it :frusty:

I actually threw in a "few bucks more" to upgrade from the VR8000s
And I could barely afford that one!

BTW, anybody know anything about Toyota side mirror wiring?
Trying to fix my neighbors sequoia. Got a cheap aftermarket replacement mirror, but it has the wrong plug. I was gonna try to wire up the 3 wires for power adjust. Not sure which ones are which on the harness. Stock plug has like 8 wires. OEM had power folding.

I think the trouble i'm having now was part of the required grinding to install it, but it might not apply to all years. should be a quick zip with an abrasive disc.

What sux is when they don't tell you, I just installed my Relentless fab front bumper last weekend and found out the hard way that I had to grind off the Tie down hook on the driver side bumper frame mount. Easy compaired to doing my leaf packs by myself though...
Your rig is looking good, I'm very impressed with your conversion. Unfortunately I sold my 2007 Sport Prerunner and bought at 2010 4x4 TRD OffRoad, but part of me wishes I attempted what your doing...

I vaguely remember reading something about some minor grinding.

When I installed the Pelfreybilt bumper, had to grind off some excess weld beads for it to sit correctly aginst the frame. Happy it's all minor stuff.

Looking back from today, I might have spent more on the conversion than if I would have bought it new, but just barely.

I guess I got lucky with my year too, don't have to worry about a lot of the extra electrical stuff on the newer trucks getting in the way of using 4wd.

Solid. When you do any of your wiring where do you bring it in to the cab? I've seen people bring their wires in through the grommets under the seats or through the engine compartment wall. I know little to nothing about wiring a car up, never done it before.

I cut a small slit in the firewall grommet for my amp wiring just after I got the truck so I run most of my wiring through there. I try to keep what I can under the hood and only run switch wires in, but I still have a lot of wires running into the cab..
