Could someone explain the main differences between these three available driving modes, and possibly describe the ideal driving conditions for each? I could not find anything educational in the 2-pound Owners Manual.

Eco mode is for when youre on the trail and dont want to lose traction because of that pesky turbo.

Normal mode is for the Monday - Friday Commute.

Sport mode is for Friday after 5:00

    Nice!

I’ve noticed that if you put it in eco and really light foot it, it uses the battery as much as it can. It’s kind of cool. Sport holds in much gear longer and is more aggressive with leaning into turbo and battery for power. Normal is in between. I find myself in eco mode most of the time until I want to remove traction control, pop it into sport, and smell burning rubber to some jams.

This is super helpful. I was wondering why my AC felt less cold. I put it into normal and now it’s colder. That’s … crazy.

Do all the trim levels have these driving modes?

Probably not because the previous page says "If equipped".

I remember seeing that in the truck, but never really gave it much attention. Thanks for the info.

Had no idea that ECO mode messes with the A/C. I'll remember that for next summer.

19 mpg - not super great but the TH is the heaviest at 5,360 lb. — other folks should be doing better with other trims

I think it’s subtle and only at high AC output so I’d keep it eco if you want and then if it’s not cooling shift to normal mode

I have found that Eco Mode doesnt get as good MPG on the interstate as normal or Sport

I think its because you have to depress the pedal further to maintain speed

been running normal and getting 21.0 mpg. just switched to ECO and im not really seeing any difference so far. ive never even put it in sport because with the iforcemax im already spinning tires if i accelerate to hard from a dig.

When I gas it hard from a stop I can’t hear the tires spin but I can see them spinning on the traction monitor. I think I can’t hear it because the snorkel is screaming when I lay into it. I just broke it in this weekend so I’ve only hit it hard off the line a couple times.

edit: I just tested it with the windows down and I can definitely get the tires to spin without even flooring it

If I am super light footed I can operate the vehicle is electric only at low speeds - if that motor were maybe 50% more powerful you could use it in hybrid only mode a lot
