Finally got a newer motor for the boat. Stoked to be able to go motor around in the Delta now! Still won't catch fish, but it will be fun trying.

You’ll get something out there eventually man! Bring some soft plastics and real nightcrawlers and throw along the banks as you float up and down the different sloughs. Delta is the one place that fish will bite if no other place will. Lol

pan out bud!! what's the rest of the boat look like? i think a small 14' alum boat with a simple outboard checks a lot of boxes for me. easy to tow, inexpensive, etc.

Here she is a couple months back. Had to make some changes for the new motor, but it's done except for the front deck which should be done this week.

This is a 12, pretty tight with 2 people. It's @Porter707 old boat.

I took Friday off. I think the wife and I are going to try and drop in around Big Break Marina and motor around.

What site do you use to check the tides around the area?

Usually Delta Boating is the site I use. To be easy, I’ll google the slough I want to hit followed by; “tide schedule” and delta boating.com is one of the first sites to pop up.

Thank you, that was the one I was looking at. Just need to go find a comfortable PFD and I'll be good to go!

Think we are going to go up through Dutch Slough and just cruise around to see how it handles. Definitely going to catch at least 1 fish for fucks sake!

Good luck! There are some good fishing spots over there too. That's near the Franks Tract area and lots of bass are pulled out of that area on the regular. bring a couple spinner baits and some soft plastics. You are sure to get something flipping up along the banks and around downed trees/weeds. With the colder weather these last couple of weeks, the fish may be changing their patterns a bit, but if you work your bait a little slower, should be good.
