I had to jump start my truck battery this morning. After it turned on a beeping sound kept going off inside the truck, similar to the beep when you leave your door open or passenger doesn’t have seatbelt on. The sound persists even while driving and while truck is off. Anyone know what’s going on and how to fix this?

Any warning lights? You sure the doors were all closed?

That's the battery polarity warning. You jumped the battery off with the polarities reversed. Basically, you had the negative to positive and the positive to negative when you jumped it. Unhook the battery negative ground cable to reset the code, then reconnect. Then re-jump start the truck making sure you connect the jumper cables correctly. That should take care of it.

There are no warning lights or anything on the dash.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
He must have momentarily cross-connected as he did ultimately start the truck.

I am very certain that I jumped the vehicle correctly. But I’ll try disconnecting and reconnecting the battery to see if that turns it off.

My post was mainly said in jest. My purpose was to get you to try unhooking the battery and seeing if it would clear the beeping.

Tried disconnecting the battery and it’s still beeping.

thats exactly why I asked; trying to figure out if this is the "door lock" beep, or some unknown area beep (maybe behind kick panel/dash/radio)

It’s the same kind of beep but it’s a separate one because I can still hear the door beep when it’s open. They both go off.

Do you have an aftermarket alarm? Aftermarket radio that needs a security code? CO or smoke alarm in the garage that needs new batteries?

What position is the 4WD switch in? Did you use a jump pack? Some of them beep.

    I don’t have a 4x4. And I used a jump pack when I jump started the truck.
