I am constantly searching for tires. Criteria: tough, yet quiet and weight not too much higher than stock.

One guy on T4R.org recommend i look at Nokian AT...and wow!

    Link: https://www.nokiantires.com/all-season-tires/nokian-rotiiva-at/

    And the sidewall uses: https://www.nokiantires.com/innovation/innovations/nokian-tyres-aramid-sidewall-technology/

Basically, it is just like Goodyear Wrangler Adventure AT...except this one has Kevlar-like sidewall.

According to Consumer Reports, it does pretty well......great in winter (snowflake), good on noise level, and low rolling resistance (aka fuel economy): https://www.continentaltire.com/sites/default/files/consumer-reports/CR_TerrainContact.pdf

Handling and braking (wet or dry) are not its strong points however.

Anyone have these tires? I want to stick with P-rated tires due to unsprung weight. And these tires are lightweight with strong sidewall.

Had them on the truck when I first got it. Didn't go for many miles before I had to change them out. They wore very quickly.

I have them in 265/75/16 size, been running them for 60K KMS now and there is about 30% left. Had them all over US on all kinds of trails, rock crawls etc, they give me 9.1L/100km or about 25MPG on freeways constantly. In the winter they do great and I have exact traction as I used to have with my winter Hakkas R2s.
I will be getting another set, but in 235/85/16 size at the end of the summer.

So, no decrease in fuel economy compare to stock?

How’s the noise level on the highway?

I see that you do air down off-road.

Nothing that I noticed, I get same numbers as advertised by Toyota, but I also run 1" lift only and it's #stickshift:burnrubber:

Noise wise they are still quiet even at low wear, you would not be able to use them in the winter once they are past 20% mark, so plan ahead about swap in the summer when time comes.

I am going to warn you that even though the sidewall is strong ( it survived MOAB trails, Death Valley rocks and plenty more), at one point I lost both tyres because I hit at full speed huge sharp rock on Mojave Trail, so don't expect too much from them to withstand huge rocks at fast speeds.

Was your popped Rotiiva AT the new model??

    https://www.nokiantires.com/company...duct-line-up-suv-light-truck-tires-to-use-ar/

Starting in late 2016 but definitely in 2017, Rotiiva got the Kevlar sidewall. Was the Rotiiva that you popped the new model or old?

    Thanks.

Mine were new with kevlar, got them in February 2018. They withstand a lot. I am below 20% wear and did some atv trails today in BC. No punctures :fingerscrossed:

Ran them on my old 2nd Gen. run them on my current Ram. Will buy another set when they wear out. Don’t do any off-roading, but I live 3 miles down a dirt road. No problems through gravel, sand, mud, bare or wet Canadian Shield rock on logging and forestry roads. Handle well, and very quiet on road. Like @Norilsk, after about 80%, I got a set of dedicated winter tires. They’re also Nokian. The Rotiiva’s handled the winter I ran them just fine. In fact, they probably handle some conditions better. Like those early or late season snow falls where you get a bit of a slush layer under the snow. My winters get a little squirrelly, where the Rotiiva’s just plowed on through.

Sorry to bring this up again...but your flats...were due to puncture in the TREAD or the sidewall itself?

That was side wall puncture right near the rims. Never had direct tread damage.

Does anyone have experience with these and the Geolander G015's to compare, MPG, noise and o verallperformance? They seem like a direct competing tire in process and features.

The Geolander G015 have gotten great reviews. I contemplated that but changed my mind for skinny 255's.
