I just saw that Nokian made new all terrain tires. I will report back on how well they do. I had great luck with the Nokian Rotiva AT on my full sized truck.

Good looking tire - looks like it has the winter rating as well

That's how I originally found the Nokian brand since they are made in Finland. I saw some Candians reviewing the tires. I figured if they are good enough for their winter then they would be awesome in the mountains where I used to live.

Now I am moving for a job to a much colder climate it should be good year round there.

I used to sell lots of Nokians when I lived in Whistler - they make awesome snow tires too.

Nokians have a cult-like following with the Saab / Vovlo enthusiast crowd.

I'm watching this thread as I have wanted to try some. The prices are pretty good, considering:
    https://www.amazon.com/70R17-Nokian-Outpost-All-Terrain-2657017/dp/B09QLFYSB2

Honestly, I'm a bit surprised that the reviews say that they are quiet with the shape of those outer blocks, but I'll take it.

I'm looking for max wet traction in an AT.

My Wildpeaks at 50k are loosing wet traction, but I would go with another set if they weren't at $250/tire.

Also monitoring prices on Cooper Rugged Treks.

265/70R17 SL if possible, or the min sidewall that can be had. Rugged Treks only come in XL.

Shit! That is a killer deal.

I do want to hear more about them first as I got hosed a couple times in the past jumping on a new tire without a lot of info out there, esp wear.

    Thanks for doing this though.

They have aramid sidewalls and Nokian's Pothole Protection. If you slice them in the first year, they have more than 60% tread, and are unrepairable, you get a new one. After that they prorate.

I liked their flip phones too.
Battery would last for days with no charge.

I just heard of these recently as well and I like the looks and specs. Might be worth checking out.

They were using FJ Cruisers as their show trucks in the commercial I saw (a preview before the Fly Fishing Tour movie, which they sponsored)

I've never heard of Priority Tire before but those are great prices. 10-Ply E and SL

The weights and tread thicknesses are given on that PriorityTire site.

I run Nokians for my winters, and have Nokian all seasons on my wife's Impreza. I will definitely look at these when I need a new set... when I searched for my current set (Open Country A\T 3's) I looked at Nokian as a top choice, these didn't show up... next time.

I am very happy with my Hakkapeliitta R2 SUV's. And with the Aramid side wall felt more comfortable driving on FSR's than I did with the factory Open Country A30's.

There are tire manufacturers on that site i've never seen or heard of before.

I have run Hakkapeliittas and WRs on my Audis (A3 Avant and A5) - the most confident tire in the snow and muddy side roads. The quattro eats the tires and shortens their life a bit.

Also ran Rotiivas on an old truck and they held up well. They make a good tire.

Look at SimpleTire too. Never used them before, seems they have stock and can mount through local shops

Saw this set - Made in Thailand, deep rubber at 18/32, and 60k tread life. If they don't list treadlife, I stay away. Good price
