I'm looking for help as I've tried several potential solutions to resolve my keyless door lock/Unlock issue where when I click the lock or unlock button on the key fob, I see the headlights flash, but no chime noise. This all started about a week ago on my 2017 TRD Sport for no apparent reason. I've tried replacing the battery in the fob, checked the settings in the head unit, ensured all doors are actually locked when clicking the lock button on the fob, replaced the buzzer under the hood and bought Carista bc I thought I somehow turned the chime off and could turn it back on using that. I also inspected and didn't see any signs of chewed wires. Any further suggestions outside of going to see the dealership would be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for the input. I already checked the settings in the head unit, the buzzer under the hood and tried cycling the battery (forgot to include that one in my first post). I also tried to find the fuse and all the ones that related to a horn I checked. The link you referenced seems to be a different issue. Thanks again for the reply.

I also have a 2017 sport with the same issue! It just stopped working. Looking into it, found that the yellow wire has a low voltage, 11,4 volts, as soon as I connect the buzzer the voltage drops to 3.4 volts. big voltage drop. have to ohm out the wire that goes to the junction block under the dash. When I looked couldn't find the wire. Could be bad connection or a bad BCM. I wondering if anyone ever found the problem. Hopefully a Toyota tech could chime in!

Yes, hopefully someone can chime in and provide a solution or suggestion! Glad to hear it's not just me. I tried testing power to the buzzer plug too, but the leads I had were too big and challenging to get a connection given the size of the connector socket.

This video shows that the head-unit has a setting for the door lock feedback.
Did you watch it near the end???

I didn't mess with those settings before the door lock/unlock buzzer stopped working. Also, that guy seems to be focusing more on the chime when the door is open and the key is in the ignition, which is different. I also have been in the HU settings several times since and have not been successful.

That's the same for the Tacoma as well, except it's right near the driver side headlight when you open the hood. I replaced this same exact part thinking it may be bad, but that did not resolve the issue unfortunately. Thank you for sharing this video, though. I've spent several hours researching this issue, but still no luck. We'll see if others can chime in too.

Wow - you've run down several things. Someone wrote the BCM (Body Control Module) may be faulty. That's a possibility. I suppose if I were in your position, and I had done all the things you had done, I'd locate the BCM, and with the battery disconnected, I would reseat each connector that hooks to the BCM.

MB (Main Board) 21 is an internal trace on the Main Body ECU.

I believe I found my problem.. I checked the wire from the buzzer to F1 pin 29, and my wire is perfect, ohmed out fine, performed a voltage drop test on the wire, and was balls on! for me... looks like my BCM shit the bed for that circuit. Hey just want to thank Caribe for the info!
