No cruise control?

Toyota had some weird packages. My 2001 is an SR5. It has power windows, power locks and power mirrors. But the glass was not tinted, no sliding back glass, and no cruise control! It does have the alarm and door lock key fobs. I had an 02 Double cab with no door lock key fobs. My 96 had power windows, power locks and cruise, but had steel wheels.

 

My uncle's 2002 S-Runner didn't have key fobs...

 

My 2000 4x4 has AC, sliding back window, and thats it. No ABS, no cruise, nada.Hand cranked windows, doesn't even have a low fuel warning light, but it has one for the washer fluid...weird.

 

No intermittent wipers?

 

It has them. Side glass is tinted as well.

 

SR5 or the base model? I've seen SR5s with crank windows...

 

Base. Reg cab. It was purchased in Oregon so I think it has the 'cold weather' package that has the different washer reservoir. My dad bought it ages ago to use as a farm truck, I think the sticker was $18.5K.

 

My 2010 RC 5-lug had a sticker of about $17K in change, and my dad paid just under $15K.

 

It's been a great truck. I get offers on it all the time, but what would I buy to replace it? I have a Porsche for scratching the modern car itch but I always love driving the Tacoma. It's just so basic and manual, fun to drive.

 

Y’all got key fobs? I guess I’ve been lazy not getting around to that.

Same. I do have an alarm with ignition kill and a couple solenoids to control the locks that has been collecting dust for a year or more, gotta get around to installing it. Maybe this year...
