No.2 knock sensor, my question why does it cost over 2 grand to replace a 60 dollar part

    Why does it cost over 2 grand to replace a no. Bank 2 knock sensor on a 2009 taco part cost 60 bucks

    It's not the cost of the part that is usually the most expensive for a repair, it's how much work you need to do to swap it.

    How Manu hours are needed to tear into the engine to swap that part?

    because it is buried under a ton of engine parts and fuel rails
    that are more than just loosening a bolt and
    moving something aside

    it's all labor, and gaskets....at how much per hour ?

    since the engine doesn't need to be dropped...you can do it yourself easily
    you just need the tools and time

    Easiest way to reach the, it to remove the heads. Resourceful method, is to remove the lower plenum, and have flex head ratchet wrenches. Still isn't easy.
