So I have been looking at BFG KO2s but may have a better deal with Nitto. Anyone familiar with either the Nitto Ridge Grappler or Terra Grappler G2? How do they perform on the street in the rain? My current Toyo SUCK!

    Thanks in advance!

I have the Terra Grappler G2's and they're the best tires I've ever owned.

Ridge Graps all the way! Really aggressive, super quiet. Plus, most people have been saying the KO2s get loud after 20k miles or so.

Had KO2s on the F150 and they were fine. Have Ridge Grapplers on the Tacoma and I like them much more so far. Shop I used recommended Nitto over KO2s due to a pile of recent complaints and come backs with KO2s for balancing issues and treadwear problems.

How do you find the ridge grapps handle on pavement compared to the stock Wranglers and do you find the ride is as good on highway as the stock Wranglers sold on the ORs? I'm working to wear my stock tires down and will be replacing them in the next few months. Also in the Nitto Ridge vs. BFG KO2 comparison game and really since they both seem to have similar tread for my light offroading excursions and handle mud / wet better than the wranglers I'm suspecting how they handle where I spend 80% of my time will be the deciding factor...

Basically I love everything about those Wranglers but they can slip in wet conditions, mud, etc., but I feel like they are very quiet, corner extremely well on curvy country roads, and I run them aired down to the trucks factory specs of 30psi and it provides for such a smooth ride vs. airing up to 34-36 tire specs.

Still running stock on mine, but looking at the Nitto's. My buddy has the KO2s and his ass end is all over the place with no payload in wet conditions. I think the Grapplers look better too.. That's what I'm going to go with when I upgrade.

I have had 4 total sets of Terra Grapplers on different vehicles, no complaints at all. 95% road travel. (Jeep for offroad) Can't speak for Ridge Grapplers, but hear they are great.

I've got Terra Grappler G2s. Worst tire I've ever had on wet pavement. Comparing to the KO2s I had before mud performance is about the same, meaning nothing to write home about. Just got them re-balanced yesterday for a vibration. One tire now has 5 oz, one 4.25 oz. Other 2 have more reasonable amounts at less than an oz. Got 40,000 miles on them and still have 4-6 32nds left. Quiet is about the only good thing I have to say on them.

I've got G2s on my police SUV and have had no issues with them all winter, including a few dozen trips over Snoqualmie Pass and SAR Missions.
I think they're fantastic in the wet and quite good in the snow as well.

Nitto was a sponsor of the ALCAN 5000 race and provided tires for all the participants and I chose Ridge Grapplers. They were....bizarre. They were actually better at -20 than they were at 35 degrees. They felt very squirmy in the "warmer" temp. On the snow and ice, however, it was like velcro. YMMV.
    Go figure.

Good on them for providing tires to all of us, so i will share the video they made along the way.

Not the G2 but the standard terra grappler. Same tread just different sideway. Great tire!15CBD6DC-149C-47D1-B2D1-03B72771D272.jpg

I have nitto terra grapplers, they are great in everything except mud. Quiet too. When these wear out I’m going to get the ridge grapplers, they are supposed to be just as good but better in muddy comditions.

G2s have my vote. I’ve had 4 sets of KOs, but went with the G2s this time around, never going back.
