I need some help in determining how many 33" tires can I fill with a 40 cubic ft nitrogen tank ?

Please Do Not go into all the BS about nitrogen and C02 ... I read it all !

I just want to know how many tires I can expect to fill up with my 40 Nitrogen tank ?
    33 " tires 17" rims

    Thank's for your help : )
sorry if this was posted before ....I did a search .... and searched the web for 2 hours .... I'm done

Om not really sure how to calculate that, other than to fill them up until the tank is depleted.

Too many variables, but it depends on the pressure the tank is at mainly, 0 PSI = 0 tires. 2000 psi = volume of gas in tank @ tires pressure / volume of tires @tire pressure. Temperature is also factored into here as well.

One of the popular tank companies has a chart that shows it. On my phone and forget what brand or I would search and link it. P something I think.

If you had more info, I could tell you. Pressure on tank, ambient temp, what size are your tires and rims? Also, what pressure do you want in the tires?

Ok ... The key here is 40 cubic feet ... It can b 40 cf at 10 psi of pressure or 40 cf at 2000 psi .... 40 cf is 40 cf ....
A 20-40-60 CF tank from the welding supply all have 2000psi ... The difference is the Volume 20 being 20 cubic ft - - 60 being 60 cubic ft .... Volume ...

    As I mentioned in my original post ... 33" tires , 17" rims .....

I don't want to sound rude , because it's not my intention..... But this kind of stuff makes me laugh at how every article I read (for 2 hrs) ! and now here where I ask the question ... Everybody wants to get technical ... Forget the temperature , the altitude , the phase of the moon or weather the tide is in or out at 0:430 hours ... Someone here must use a nitrogen tank as back up air ?

I don't need an answer of 3.257 tires ... Just an approximate ...
If I go from 25 psi to 45 psi how many tires can I do that to with 40 CF ?

If I go from flat 0 psi to 45-50 psi how many flats can I fix @. ?

I believe I should not have been lazy and did the math myself ... I took a shortcut because I'm working so many hours at work I don't have time ... Figured somebody here uses a 20 CF or a 40 CF tank ?
I know I'm not the only person in the world who uses a nitrogen tank for air ups

    Thanks again ....

According to my simplified calculations ... I could do 5 tires from flat to 40-45 psi

Go with liquid CO2 - you'll get far more gas out of a cylinder and you can get a setup fairly cheaply.

    http://www.lieblweb.com/liquidco2.html

Unless you could do liquid nitrogen - which, I don't think you can safely & cheaply - you're not gonna get nearly as much gas out of pressurized tank VS pressurized / liquid.

Yeah, I was going to calculate it down to the last molecule. I use Nitrogen in my tires as well. Glad you got ot figured out on your own.
