Any one ever try this? It seems the length could be easily shortened for those looking for Access Cab racks. The issue would perhaps be the curve of the front mount against the Tacoma roof line.

    Thoughts?

I build after market racks for both vehicles.
My advise is do not bother unless you really want to do a lot of work for very little reward.

The curvature is definitely diffferent where the front pad would sit and the rain gutter on the Toyota roof would most likely get in the way.

With enough work anything can be made to happen, but it would be a lot of work and in the end you would probably wind up with something very unsatisfactory.

When I get access to the Taco I am working on I can throw the OEM Frontier roof rack on top and snap a picture but it will be a week or two.

Damn, nice first post. I'll agree with the OP, I like the frontier rack better than the tacos. :anonymous: :crapstorm:

    Xoskel,

That would be great if you could post a picture. I will be looking for it. I would think that a gasket or rubber piece could be cut to fit under the front mounts. Please post when you can. Do you have a Frontier OEM rack for sale? Please advise. Ken

I will have a Frontier rack for sale eventually but not until I have finished developing products with it.
This is the Taco I have been working with. Did the sliders and the rack. He will be back in Phoenix next week and I can possibly get a pic then of the Frontier rack on the Taco roof.

Due to some tragic event, I lost my access to that Tacoma, if anyone in Phoenix has a similar vehicle and is willing to donate their truck in exchange for discounts on roof racks and sliders, let me know.
