It's not my video, but I did figure out how he did it. You can do it with the hand held. Press B to jump, then Y to throw the hat, then XL and quickly X to jump-dive off the hat. At the end, yes, he does a quick shake. Not sure if that works with the handheld, as I never use it.

Fell off the wagon of this thread for a little bit but I've been having a pretty good experience with the switch. Zelda and Mario are both great as you'd expect, Splatoon 2 was alot of fun. Didn't care for arms. New Sonic was amazing. Just got Skyrim and Rocket League the other day. Skyrim has been a really good experience on the switch so far, you can tell they had to make concessions with some of the visuals but not to the point that it in any way destroys the experience. Rocket League is crack that you can store in flash memory.

I think this console is really going places.

Also to call back to all you guys who were hating on windwaker and skyward sword- all I have to say is I'm sorry that you missed out on 2 of the best games in the series. I hope you're not skipping over BotW for the same 'it looks kiddie' reasons- because it's better than OoT imo and I'll defend that to the grave.

Really? 2 great games! OoT may be my least favorite Zelda, after Majora's Mask. I haven't met a Zelda game that I don't love though.

I actually enjoyed Majora's Mask even though I understand alot of the gripes. The darker story made it stand out for me, alongside twilight princess for the same reasons. I also liked some of the quests to get all the masks. MM was also the first Zelda I owned so it will always have a special place in my heart

Every Zelda game has been amazing. I literally haven't played one I didn't like. BotW takes the cake though as far as gameplay I think.

Just ordered a Switch for my son with Zelda. Hopefully it will be ready for pickup after work. Going to sneak in a few plays of Zelda when he's not around. My favorite game ever is the original NES Zelda.

I'll have to go back and read through this thread. Got my son a switch for Christmas. Games so far are Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle and Amiibo - Mario/Peach/Bowser for Super Mario Odyssey.

Those are great choices! Mario has the best games on the system in my opinion. And SMO is a masterpiece, no joke.

I've been playing a great RPG game recently called Oceanhorn. You can download a free demo from the online store through the Switch. The only downside to that is once the demo runs out you have to start at the beginning again. Totally worth it though, and the game is only $14.99
I've been playing it for about 17 hours total so far, and I'm only 37% done, so a pretty good value for the money.

That’s always been the Nintendo issue since the SNES. They just don’t get the support some of the other consoles do and with their hardware being roughly one generation behind in terms of power it makes it tougher for companies to bring games to the console through a straight port over.

That being said I want one eventually. I should of held off buying my PS4 and just got an Xbox One

Youll like it for time killing. Used mine quite a bit this past week flying and relaxing. Will say battery life isn't the best though....anywhere from 3-5 hours depending on the game has been my experience.

I did recently pick up Stardew Valley. Its a fun little time waster. And I got Donkey Kong which has been quite fun since I haven't played since DK for the N64 lol.

3-5 hours is about perfect. enough for before the flight and in flight typically. im keeping my ps4 for at home gaming which is rare anymore.

i think i still have DK for my n64 too, lol. banjo-tooie, podracers, wave racers. some oldies

Guess it depends :) My flights were 6.5 hours and 5.5 hours so not quite enough. Especially the 6.5 one since we didn't download the app to watch their inflight entertainment. Thankfully most planes have either usb or 120v power these days so not to big of a deal.

Man I used to play the crap out of wave racers. Always loved it. Someday Ill go back and play Goldeneye 64 and Wave Racers

3 hours isn't bad at all. I usually end up playing the switch for maybe an hour at a time anyways. Ive never flown southwest and with all their problems and the way they do boarding/seating I don't think I will be anyways
